Thank the immigration officer for the time taken to process your application and confirm your availability to provide additional documentation that might be deemed useful in the process. chykemumen: This completely boils down to the policies of your bank. Other commercial banks in Nigeria gives credence to making payment to West Union Global Pay because they are well recognised and accredited by most reputed institutions abroad to serve as an intermediary agent b/w the school and international students. You may want to check other banks like Zenith Bank or UBA. It will end in praise |

skull4eva: From the wisdom of my vast experiences with several SOWP applications. I would prefer you land in Canada and file for your wife and kids to accompanying you. This will ensure that you've provided the necessary documents as per the IRCC checklist for every SOWP. You will be required to submit a copy of your study permit, SIN and proof of accommodation for this type of application. The regular study visa you've with you, is not sufficient for this purpose. If you had your way, it's better the proof of funds be shown in your wife's bank statement since she is the accompanying dependant in this application. You can also include the funding you've from Canada and the 6M to strengthen the application. I hope this information satisfies your inquiry. It will end in praise |

Teeteejii: Hi what type of misrepresentation is that? What offence was it? And did you get to know after they send the letter to you or you knew before? And if you know before what did you do about it? |

MzMisty: Most of the time, it's the Program Case Analyst who does the R-10 check that often evaluates the pre-assessment report. This initial assessment does not in anyway guarantee the success of your application. Please be guided that it's the sole responsibility of the Senior Immigration Officer at the High Commission of Canada to give the final review and pass your eligibility assessment for study permit. In your case, after the review of your supporting documents by the responsible Senior immigration officer, he is not satisfied that you're a bonafide student who will pursue a post graudate certificate program in International Business Management from Canada and depart after studies. awys: This is absolutely correct. Every application received at the Canadian embassy passes through the pre-assessment stage and later transferred to the Senior Immigration Officer for a decison to be made on the file. Its not possible for an immigration officer to start a file and complete it instantly. There are laid down regulations and procedures which governs the operations of the visa officers. Godson213: Hello Godson213, Set your mind off it. If it's too good then it is not true. You may want to up your funds as 6m is not sufficient enough. Best of Luck |

Lekiboboe: You're certainly free to change your DLI from within Canada provided you've documents like Acceptance Letter, tuition receipts, confirmation of enrollment letter from the DLI you're transferring to. If you're outside of Canada and wants to switch to another DLI, you must provide a new letter of acceptance and may apply for a fresh study permit. To cut a long story short, its better to effect the change of DLI from within Canada. It will end in praise 4 Likes |

Teenie19: The visa officers have no access to the actual available balance after the mybank statement certificate was issued. The purpose of the my bank statement is to verify the authenticity of the transactions carried out in the account and the sitting balance as at when you submitted it. It will end in praise 2 Likes |

Lekiboboe: Hello lekan, If the SP has been issued, the person can change DLI (or program) without reapplying or submitting a new SP application. This is why it is often advised to effect the change from within Canada rather than outside. All to be done is update the GcKey account with the rightful information. Effecting the change—of DLI and not the program—from outside Canada when an application has been approved and before the SP is issued is what IRCC refers to by stating the need to submit a new SP application for consideration. Even if the DLI change was effected from outside Canada, the person doesn't necessarily have to apply for a new study permit IF the person's GcKey was updated with the new information (and IRCC was notified via the webform – unconventional) Ultimately, based on the explanation thus far; a change of DLI or Program, it can be done without the need to reapply for a new SP. I am open to further queries if it's not clear. One love bro! |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Frankrobbn1: 12:43pm On Apr 03, 2021 |
Johnpaul94: Your agent may be correct in a way depending on whether you've had an existing profile with IRCC. Application fee is 150CAD and Biometrics is 85CAD. In total, you're to pay 235CAD for a first time application. Whilst, for subsequent applications you're to pay $150CAD. It will end in praise 1 Like 1 Share |

Sorry, how did you submit your transcript to NBCC during the application? I'm trying to upload it but there is no space for that in the application portal Lifeis247: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by JustMellow: 1:03pm On Apr 03, 2021 |
ILoveDLord: Hello ILoveDLord, In contribution to this topic further; the person doesn't have to apply for a new SP because the person's new DLI information will be automatically updated by IRCC If the person updates it in the GcKey account. In the case that the DLI lost its approval status as recognized by IRCC, the person doesn't also need to apply for a new study permit or stop studying. However, in the case of SP extension, the person has to include a new LOA from an approved DLI. As long as the person updates its GcKey account with the new and rightful information, as a notification to IRCC regarding the change, no harm whatsoever not even towards the PGWP. One love bro! 1 Like |

Sisisimbi: Hello Sisisimbi, Irregular inflows of monies into the account 3 weeks to applying isn't advisable. You have to be able to justify the irregular cash flows. It doesn't matter whether your salary appears in your BS or not, as long as it belongs to you and verifiable, you are good. But if you are a high-income earner, irrespective of the closing balance, include it to support the other financial records that are sufficient. Best of Luck |

skull4eva: Hello Skull4eva, If you are applying for your spouse's SOWP from within Canada under the right NOC, POF isn't necessarily a major requirement but, there is still the need to demonstrate that your spouse can take responsibility for any incurred expenses, or can as well be demonstrated by you. Since the funds is already in your account, you can leave it be. You can include your BS, spouse's BS, payslips, and other employment/financial documentation, etc. Best of Luck |
