Hello Emmal,

My little input:

Algonquin College: You said you have 1 month notice to pay your school fees and you will like to know if you should pay for the visa application fee or first semester tuition first- kindly check the terms and conditions on your acceptance letter( possible if you don't pay a certain amount as deposit on a certain due date your admission will be withdrawn, check what's on your letter if it's not clear you can ask the school admission officer you are corresponding with also possible to apply for visa without making tuition payment all depends on the school terms and conditions, ask about their refund policy to enable make decisions that best suits you.

Hoping a candidate of Algonquin on this thread can help you with more information.

For cheaper colleges, you might have to let the thread know your intending course. So others might help, alternatively google can also help.

For question 4 : I don't have the link to help you with the necessary documents, sure others will help on this.

Processing visa time, it's only IRCC that determines that. If you intend to go September I believe it's best to put in your application soon.

YES, you can process your study visa yourself without an agent, by reading through previous thread as earlier mentioned, asking questions if you do not understand. Please feel free to ask questions, it is highly welcomed here. No question is too absurd if it is related to this thread i.e Canadian study visa.

Quarantine: don't overly think about this yet, possible there might be changes or new instructions as time goes on. After submitting your application, keep following the thread and IRCC for updates.

Please wait for other inputs. Shalom.

Thanks so much metari

Hello!

Please for Algonquin College applicants/students, as an international student paying tuition fee through flywire portal, do they add additional charges or currency?

Because, $9,700CAD under IRCC exchange rate on google shows it is 2.9million naira while flywire portal shows it is 4m.

Please, does anyone has an idea of this why it is so, does the portal for paying our tuition fee normally adds charges or whatever...

Mind you, flywire is a site for international students to pay tuition fee.

That is the way it is, same thing happens when i want to pay for my fee, i think it correspond with the aboki rate or so. Not the google rate.

At the moment, I don't have info on this. But a PGD program can be either one or two years.

Please, look through the posts by several people for many weeks now, I'm sure you will find something quite useful.

You can also look up some Canadian universities online and see what PGD programs they have, the duration of these programs, tuition fee, and resumption dates.

This may take a while, but it is definitely worth the effort.

To answer your enquires

1, the English test isn't compelled, however, it might do your application some favour if you have it, as it is a prerequisite for NSE which helps to fast track application (according to IRCC, but many NSE qualified applicant have been waiting for months without verdict on their application)

Type of English test could be either I.e Academic or General test

2, BVL means Biometric Validation Letter, while NSE means Nigerian Study Express Program ( NSE explained above)

Good day, guys,

Please am new and have some questions and issues concerning Canadian study visas.

1. Is the English test compulsory and which type is needed?
2. Meaning of BVL and NSE?

Thank you and Happy Easter.

Thanks for this info..

Lifeis247:

There was actually a field on the application portal for transcript attachment.
Also, you can just send it by email to international@nbcc.ca quoting your application ID in the email.
it would be received and acknowledged.

Good day All,

Please how do I explain to the VO that my current employment is owning salaries as I won’t be able to provide payslips of recent months and they won’t be able to see the salaries for the affected previous 2 months.

Though I have a sizeable amount in my account, I have a sponsor who’s going to cover all my bills.

Please advise

Makes sense!

JustMellow:

Hello ILoveDLord,

In contribution to this topic further; the person doesn't have to apply for a new SP because the person's new DLI information will be automatically updated by IRCC If the person updates it in the GcKey account.

In the case that the DLI lost its approval status as recognized by IRCC, the person doesn't also need to apply for a new study permit or stop studying. However, in the case of SP extension, the person has to include a new LOA from an approved DLI.

As long as the person updates its GcKey account with the new and rightful information, as a notification to IRCC regarding the change, no harm whatsoever not even towards the PGWP.

One love bro!

Please boss how did you go about applying for the nse program itself?
we’re you just asked to provide the documents ? or you applied for it separately

I don't believe you should have any problem with your MyBank Statement Certificate. The eight months steady inflow and outflow of money is more than sufficient to prove to the visa officer that you're the bonafide owner of the funds in the account. In light of the fact that your bank account carries 7 digits all through these 8 months, its important you also include yours while responding to the NSE request.

It will end in praise

Please sir how do you apply so that you can get nse request?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by paulandpeter001(m): 3:05am On Apr 05, 2021
Are you paying from a Nigerian account? If yes, it is not going to work. The international spending limit of MasterCard from Nigerian account is $100. It won't cover the fees.
Hope this was helpful.

Please i am interested in this Loan option, and i already know a foreign body that can loan me if i am able to get an admission in one of their selected schools, but what worries me is if i will be granted a Study permit on a loan, won't this be like a red flag already?

Are there other supporting documents i will need to submit to convince the VO that i will and can pay?

If you dont mind, i sent you an email. Pls
Thank u

Spectro:

Another option available is to access a local or foreign bank loan. This will increase your funding.

However, there's always a price to pay for loans... Interests plus principal...
