Sin (Wickedness) Is Not An Act But A Lifestyle. Same Is Righteousness

I've observed how some who walk in ignorance try to paint righteous men as Abraham and David as sinners because of one or two acts of sin instead of their lifestyle of righteousness.

Some of them even claim David, a man after God's heart, was a worse sinner than Saul, but that it was just God's favor which made Him like David and treat him more favorably than Saul.

But here's what God Himself had to say about David to his son Solomon:

1 Kings 3:14 (KJV)

And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.

That should show you how the hearts of such ignorant ones are far from God and the extent to which they're ignorant of His ways, because even Saul who they said David was a worse sinner than, said himself that David, who was his sworn enemy, was more righteous than he was. So for Saul to admit that much about someone he hated so much he wanted him dead by all means, meant it was beyond glaring that he couldn't deny it.

Hence Saul proved that he was not as ignorant as those who believe such about David, just because of one act, because his view about David tallied with what God said concerning David to David's son, Solomon.

This was the reason David was a man after God's heart, and why God chose David to become King in the stead of Saul who He rejected as King of Israel, because God doesn't judge a man by an act but by his lifestyle.

And the lifestyle of David was righteousness despite that he fell into sin on the odd occasion because that was the exception of his life, but obedience of the Word of God and righteousness was the rule!

That's why God would use him as an example to his son Solomon even after his death, because the lifestyle of obedience of His Word and righteousness is what God desires of every man, and that was how David lived.

So it's ignorant to use a sinful act to classify a righteous man as a sinner, because although perfection and a sinless life was the target, righteous men may fall into sin on the odd occasion, but that doesn't make them become sinners, because sin is not an act but a lifestyle. And their lifestyle is not that of sin but righteousness.

All "lifestyle" are all Acts or Actions done continually or consistently, jointly or severally over the course of life.

So sin commenced FIRST as An Act, then done continuously through the course of living,
