POLITICSNIGERIA.COM The drive by the Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to boost in-country refining capacity was bolstered on Tuesday with the signing of the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning (EPCIC) contract for the rehabilitation of the 210,000 barrels per day capacity Port Harcourt Refinery in Alesa-Eleme, Rivers State.https://politicsnigeria.com/nnpc-signs-1-5billion-contract-for-rehabilitation-of-ph-refinery/ 1 Like

This country is a sorry case, the people were not in support or this yet it pulled through. Look at how happy the oyinbo boy was over a serious matter? It feels more like an award 'well deserved' than contracts signing. I have ten to twenty four hours guaranteed external battery for your laptop. Do you need one? This contract is a win - win scenario for all those involved, but sadly the Nigerian people will only hang on to hope. Our leaders are not worthy of our trust, i can still remember Osinbajo talk about modular refinery during the campaigns 37 Likes 2 Shares |

They still went ahead with this kangaroo repairs! And you wonder why the people are revolting? You can't keep pressing them down and expect them not to scream. They scream only how they know best. Some may feel it would be loudest to scream at police stations and correctional facilities. You steal from the masses and send your kids to better schools abroad, positioning them to take up juicy positions of authority in the government or government agencies. Na ogun go kee allof una there! 17 Likes 1 Share |

Hopefully they are serious about it this time. But even then, the renovation would not work unless the refinery is also allowed to run profitably, and that can only happen if subsidy is removed completely and totally, PPPRA is scrapped fully, and the price of fuel is set by the marketer, not the government...and ideally NNPC is totally privatised. Otherwise it is just money down the hole. |
