Lol... the matter is not exactly straight forward like that. I used 30 naira per share because GTB has generally hovered between 25-33 naira in the last 1 year.
The amount of dividends they decide to pay per share is also outside your control as the bank management decide what to pay and you won't know until the end of financial year.
The value of the share could also have gone to 50 naira or to 10 naira. I think it is always hard to compare fixed income vs a volatile market like the stock market.

we should not go that route nah .....am just looking at how the 53.percent of Gtb can affect the ordinary investor or how to make info choice based on past ,present and future earnings.....example if Gtb is returing 10 percent annually for 10 years and the share is appreciating by 3 percent yearly over 10 years...we input that data and get the real return after 10 year ...add everthing including inflations ,devalution etc then compare with other investment class like fixed income ....then u make your decision based on verifiable data and not luck

am cleared now ....let me compare....in year 2001 a plot in my area was 500k so 10m can buy 20 units now sold at 17m each x 20 =340m ....so if i fix the 340m in bond @12.5m I will be making 42m every year against 35m from okumu oil ....7m differ......but okumu oil has been paying dividen for 20 years while my plot are just here with zero generation .......hmm I rather have the okumu oil shares
