EagleScope01: Hello, I did IELTS three times and I can confidently tell you acing it isn't as difficult as most people think. First, study as many questions as you can. If you can treat 10 years past questions at least twice, you're good to go. Regarding writing, ensure you know "linking words" very well, use at least 15-20 difficult words in your essay and ensure your essay exceeds the word count, you'll be fine. For speaking, lay your hands on as many materials as you can, go through all the topics and build ideas around them all. Also, memorise as many vocabularies as you can for each topic. For listening and reading, adhere to the first advice. 1st attempt : L 6.5 W 7 R 7.5 S 6.5 2nd attempt, L 8.5 W 6.5 R 8.5 S 7.5 3rd attempt: L 8.5 W 7.5 R 8 S 7.5. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

hello am new here and will like clarifications in some things for Canada express entry application: I have BSC in Nutrition and Dietetics and PGD in peace conflict and strategic studies, all in Nigerian university. I have also done wes for the both degree as two or more certificates. I have over 3 years work experience from my BSC course of study Nutrition and Dietetics and worked in humanitarian sector as a coordinator in crisis affected area, I will like to know what NOC I will use for my application, That of the BSC or the PGD (kindly note I have work experience relating to just the BSC( another question is: can I also apply for PNP with my BSc course (Nutrition and Dietetics), I want to know if its eligible to apply for PNP with my course of study (Nutrition and Dietetics) 1 Like 1 Share |

Gabem:Really? How possible is that! Does it mean that SSCE cert. and BSc will also be evaluated by WES as 2 certificates? |

473 is still a very good score. Even if you miss the first draw, you won't miss the next two draws. Unless you have a birthday approaching any time soon. Uzland: |

Uzland:if you were an employer in canada would you rather go for people on ground with pr or go all the way for someone who you will incur immigration costs and time( you dont even know if their application will take 6 months or 18 months plus covid wahala and restrictions). They also have to prove to government they couldn't find someone in canada. Most employers dont have that time or want that smoke. |

smartamy:noc has nothing to do with degree. Your noc is based on your actual job description or occupation. Pnp is also not based on course of study but occupation. Visit the pnp websites of different provinces to see if your occupation is in demand or not |

Uzland: I don't think so, cos i actually sent 3 certificate (about 3yrs ago) then wes requested for SSCE, so I sent ssce, OND and HND. I don't know why they decided to be silent about OND but in the summary of the report it was 2 certificate which means OND i& HND and SSCE is just the Diploma |

smartamy:I don’t think it will be fair if we do this research for you. First of all, what’s your IELTS score and your age? That will determine if you should go for FSW or PNP. Since we don’t know your job description or role, you should check the NOC database and see which aligns with your job description then we can chip in if it is suitable. To be eligible for FSW you need to have work experience in either NOC 0,A and B. Do the basic research, read page 1 of this thread, use the search button to see if someone has asked the same question and in the same field as you thereafter ask specific questions. 3 Likes |

EyinjuGod: It will not work..because that's not considered a valid Canadian experience. If you are a student in Canada on study permit, your part time job either as teaching assistant or otherwise does not count until you have graduated and have a proper and valid work permit..then work experience will count subsequently |

I must advise those writing IELTS soon: For reading, start from the questions at the end of the booklet ie answer Q20-40 before 0-20. Conquer Matching Headings/Paragraphs and TFNG/YNNG questions and you are good to go. For speaking, use makkari and try to cover at least half of the text. Be confident on your speaking day and be fluent. Answers may not be correct but fluency counts more For listening, forget your worries and just focus. Try and have a retentive memory. For writing, understanding the essay type is more important than writing down the essay. All the best guys. 15 Likes 6 Shares |

EyinjuGod: For FSW Work experience while schooling may count if it fits the requirements stated in this link e.g. was it paid, did you work the required number of hours, does your job description match an NOC A, B or 0? https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/federal-skilled-workers.html#skilled For CEC It does not appear that work experience gained while schooling full time will count as Canadian work experience: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/canadian-experience-class.html Please see page 1 for links to IRCC's website for details on each programme. This link from IRCC comprehensively answers your question though: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=394&top=29 In summary, this experience is not wasted it will add to your CRS (if you're trying to gather 3 years work experience) but it will not be considered Canadian work experience for the purposes of CEC. All the best! 1 Like

Hello everyone please I have two concerns : What does this mean? I saw it on Ircc website ... Does it mean u can’t combine two different NOCs 1) In the last 10 years, how many years of skilled work experience do you have? It must have been continuous, paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation 2)is it okay to say ur job was 55 hours per week. Will dt be a problem ? Or 40 hours is the maximum |

I'm about to go to my institution to prepare and send my transcript to WES while I wait for my other institution to call of their strike. The problem now is 1) my OND statement of result which I'm about to prepare transcript for and send to WES,my name was misspelled with one letter, eg; instead of one 'r' they typed two 'r'. 2) and again I intend to include my middle name in the OND result,I never taught I'll use it again not until now, then I felt reluctant about the middle name not until now. Its just my surname and first name which was misspelled that's what's in my OND result, of which my BSC carrries my middle name, all full names spelled correctly, also my passport matches by BSC In this scenerio pls FAM!! How can I approach it so as to get the best of it, to merge the names, will I have a problem doing this. What should I do before going or when I'm there |
