Yeah, you are right.
Pace, agility, workrate and loves to hug the ball. Still a good squad player but he cannot dictate the flow/tempo of a game.

That thing he cannot do is the major difference between he and the Algerian Midfield general, Ismael Bennacer.

Danielnino00:

Etebo could have been like that.. But man, the guy only has so much pace and agility..not much else...

Okoro is a special talent. He is on the United States Junior team.
He feels more American, unfortunately.
He was exceptional against my Miami Heat!
BascoVanVeli:

I have already said we should break away from CAF grin if west African countries exit CAF the organization will die. Really Pinnick should take that idea to the next CAF meeting and put an end to theregional qualifying nonsense at the youth level.

BTW have u heard of Isaac Okoro on the Cleveland Cavs. Boy looks special

I love his style of play.. I love it when players makes football so simple..he plays d game effortlessly.. He only needs to add awareness to his game cool cos most times he looks lost and uninterested whyle d game is on..

your observations are very apt....he is a jorgihno kind of player dey no stress themselves with work rate....they just control the game with their passes and they're always ready to recieve passes....his major strength is his pass but his work rate is still poor and also needs to make himself available for ball...he needs that awareness like you've said and also composure....i think he is already ripe for the eagles considering the fact we lack depth in our midfield department it gonna be nice having him around to show what he got...but his performance yesterday was superb....despite the fact am not being one of his strongest critics.....his performance shocked me to my bone marrow.....he delivered an "elite midfielder's performance".....the freekick was ment..Good one ...local man is actually impressed.

KC Nwakali remains a huge talent but his off the ball activities do not impress me. He strolls a lot, I want him to be getting involved every now and then, by opening up to receive passes to dictate the flow of the game, he has it in him because he has that eagle eye for passes of every range, he dribbles well and he is hard to be dispossessed, hence, he easily wins fouls. I believe he will do better in a team that enjoys keeping possession. Whenever the boy is with the ball, he always makes things look easy and I am never scared of him losing possession unlike when Ndidi or Iwobi is with the ball

Let's tell ourselves the truth.
Assuming Nwalkali is relatively unknown, given his performance with Alcorion some of us in this thread already will be clamouring for his invitation.

Of every midfielder in perspective, Nwakali is the most suited for the CM role. He looks like the missing ingredient.
In the pecking order: Nwakali-Etebo-Aribo-Ejaria.

Aribo is above Nwakali and Etebo.

Like play like joke, it will be very funny when you see Aribo playing for a team like Liverpool in few years time. He is English, so it will be easy for him to get clubs in EPL. Plus Gerrard connection. The guy is just too good. Quick feet, dribbling, finishing, decent passes, smart on the ball, left footed. We don't know what we have in that guy.

Nwakali is the best fit for the CM role, looks like he is built for that role, He makes that role look easy. Seems like he has received special grace for the role. Nwalkali is a game dictator, he is like a choir leader, i can't really say that for Aribo.

Aribo looks more mobile and flashy, but those attributes don't wow me. I look at impact.

We are talking the CM role here.

Albanian Superliga leading scorer Patrick Friday Eze has claimed that he would be open to playing for the Albania national team as he has been continuously overlooked by Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr. Eze is having an outstanding season at FK Kukësi, scoring 12 goals in the league and also found the net against Slavia Sofia in the first qualifying round of the Europa League back in August 2020. The Kaduna-born attacker first made his name in Europe at Serbian Superliga club FK Mladost Lučani, ending the 2014-2015 campaign as the top scorer in the division with 15 goals. Eze has no caps for the Nigerian national teams and the 1992-born player was not age-eligible to represent the country in the 2016 Olympic Games. Speaking to our colleagues at Tirana-based television news channel Ora News, Eze said : "I never had the opportunity to play any category, I never played in any category for Nigeria. "Of course if Albania call me I will come and happily play". Asked to name one team he wants to play for, Eze responded : For the respect of other clubs, all the clubs here are good, but my vision actually is to go to a better league and a better situation where I can express more of my talent. "With much respect for Albanian teams but I intend to see much more." The 28-year-old Eze previously had spells with clubs in Ivory Coast, Serbia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Poland and Jordan before his switch to Kukesi last summer.

I remember him, he's dad Alex Nwora was once a coach of D'Tigers. The NBBF should cap tie Precious Achiuwa and Udoka Azubuike from the 2020 draft class in the coming Olympics because these two guys were born in Nigeria and may easily agree to play for Nigeria compared to Isaac Okoro, Onyeka Okongwu and Zeke Nnaji who were born in the United States.

BascoVanVeli:

Yes this was a stacked class for Nigerians don't forget already capped Jordan Nwora

This line-up on paper can easily win Afrobasket.

Danielnino00:

Breaking away from CAF can't work lol.. We just need to make it clearer that we deserve to call more of the shots there.. Take away club football and Africa's football legacy largely rest with West Africa..

Isaac Okoro, ehn? I do see him regularly on the Cavs starting lineup.. He looks promising..Haven't really watched that much of his game..

Ehn Basco, I'm staring to think maybe we should chill on getting these NBA players in the squad.. Cus after the Olympics, there's the Afrobasket.. most of these NBA players will most likely not be available for it...
Imagine us going to the Afrobasket with this lineup..

PG- Vincent
SG- Oladipo
SF- Anunoby
PF- Nwora

Not just beat, but totally demolish grin

I'll really love a rematch with Tunisia with that lineup grin

Right now, there are over 20 players of Nigerian origin in the NBA... A few of them being All-Stars.. Another testament to the power of the Nigerian diaspora community..
No African country can boast of having a bigger and more influential diaspora community in America and Europe like Nigeria..

No there is no junior team for NBA players. He played U17 when he was in highschool. I will go out on a limb and say he is well in tune to his Nigerian side just knowing the region he is from plus the fact his parents are from naija.

He does answer Nigeria related questions. Just like when he told a reporter that naija players are so good because of the food grin

The fact is that nobody on Earth will refuse playing on the dream team. Even Hakeem the Dream played for them so our best bet is to catch them before they even get to that level.

K.Nwakali is already top 3 in the Alcorcon team for Tackles per game stats at 1.4/game.

He is top 7 in the team for Interceptions per game at 1.2/game.

These numbers are a far cry from the numbers he picked up at Huesca before his loan move. This shows the lad is indeed improving on his marking and off-the-ball-movements and I also have the eye-test privilege of seeing all his games in La Liga Smartbank this season so far.

I need not mention his other stats reports. He has been Alcorcon's undisputed Best player since he joined them doing strong bits in both the offensive and defensive phases of the game.

So all this talk of Nwakali has to improve his marking is funny because he has been doing just that and just needs to be encouraged to keep it up and take the improvements even further.

You guys should please stop analysing Nwakali by your past knowledge of his plays when you have hardly watched him play recently. Watch him in the present and analyse correctly. Thank you.

Cc Chriskels (coz na you cause this talk). I have seen all his games so I know what I am talking about and the stats show this as well.

You can even check this thread (link dropped below) made about Nwakali by a Super Eagles stan account called @OptaSuperEagles

He really took his time and broke down everything on Nwakali at Alcorcon so far (prior to yesterday's game)...

Merci. cool
