This is not looking good at all. If a country can't produce to export to earn, it wiĺl remain poor of course. We need policies and programmes to encourage local production at both federal and state levels. - The massive young people of Nigeria are not productively engaged inspite of being willing and ready to work. They have taken to football betting, political thuggery, yahoo yahoo, drug pushing and banditry to survive. - Politicians have loads of money stolen, idling away in hidden places. - The highly liquid Eastern traders have loads of money idling away in banks and most times just in end up construction of buildings that are unoccupied. - Our arable lands are underutilized. Our harvests go to waste because we can't process and add value. - State Governors go cap in hand to Abuja to collect money instead of encouraging production in their states to boost IGR. Even when money is printed, they will gladly take it to squander and turn around and blackmail CBN. We are sinking. We need robust Industrial Roadmap asap. We need to start producing to export. Federal and State governments need to wake up. 22 Likes 3 Shares |

Because we are allowing criminal Ghanaians to come into Nigeria to buy Dollar imported goods which is not supposed to be. We're putting tremendous pressure on our Naira through import of goods and fuel. What so-called ECOWAS countries do is to bribe our customs and buy things that they shouldn't be allowed to buy like electronics, spare parts and fuel. Why I called out Ghanaians is because they cried more than the bereaved (Niger Republic and Benin Republic) when we closed our borders. Their trade unions beat and bounced on our citizens trading in their country as retaliation. Nigerians wake-up this whole ECOWAS bulshit is a scam because the dollar to naira is being subsidized by the government for importers we shouldn't allow these wicked ECOWAS countries to come in here and shortchanged us 6 Likes 3 Shares |

Number 1 importer in africa and probably the least when it comes to export.... I'm not against importation but we should also back it up with exportation... that's one of the ways to grow our economy. We can't be consumers only....many things are not right about this country. 6 Likes |

This is what Buhari want to put an end to but southerners will never allow that happen. He closed the borders and they are weeping. Is this the way to develop the nation? Tomorrow they want us to vote for Tinubu or Osinbajo, DOA. We must continue ruling this nation anyhow we want. Thanks to Allah Mahmoud of INEC was reinstated and he's to conduct the next elections. 2 Likes |

when all your cash crop and natural minerals are being discovered and developed in countries world wide. ours we could not manage, instead it's depleting, who will then patronize us and who will come to buy what they already have, besides neighbouring countries have favourable terms of trade and conducive environment to do business. |

Over 200 million highly unproductive and over religious people who spend their days obsessing about enemies and religion while their counterparts elsewhere obsess about inventions. This is the result. Your government would rather spend money to subsidize pilgrimage to Mecca and Jerusalem than build a functional refinery for almost 3 decades. And despite all the religion, once given the opportunity the first thing they all do is to steal the money meant for development. This is the result. 4 Likes |
