Nigerians Praise Buhari And Osinbajo For Infrastructural Revolution by TheRareGem1(f): 6:24pm On Apr 20, 2021 |
Some Nigerians have taken to twitter to extol the President and the Vice President for their impacts in transforming, improving and upgrading the country infrastructure with the hashtag, #BabaInfrastructure. Commenting on the matter, a twitter user, Kate-Nnaji in a sarcastic reference to BBOG activist Aisha Yesufu’s “Incompetent” labelling of the administration, wrote, “Why be COMPETENT, when you can be INCOMPETENT? Here are over 65 Ongoing/Completed projects done by the INCOMPETENT Buhari/Osinbajo Admin... 1. The second Niger Bridge 2. Warri-Itakpe rail line 3. Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Expressway 4. Ilorin-Bode Sadu-Jebba Road”. She supported her tweet with pictures of the referenced projects. Another user by the name “Peter O.” went on to list 50 projects, completed and on-going by the administration, ‘’50 of Buhari/Osinbajo completed and ongoing projects across the nation . . . 1. The second Niger Bridge 2. The Warri-Itakpe rail line 3. The Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Expressway 4. The Ilorin-Bode Sadu-Jebba Road”. Hayden Jones tweeted a short video of Lagos Ibadan Railway, “Just a short story about the Lagos-Ibadan rail line from 2015; promises to reality. #BabaInfrastructure is connecting Nigeria's major economic hub and is reducing the pressure on Lagos.” Another user, @Iam_Musty, appreciates the effort of the President, Vice president and the Ministers who ensure the projects are actualised, he wrote “If you are a site worker, you will understand how difficult it is to execute projects, these gentlemen will always & forever be remembered for transforming, improving & upgrading Nigeria Infrastructural devt. What previous admins couldn't pull through for 20 years #BabaInfrastructure.” Tamuno Tonye narrated the importance use of renewable clean energy as a source of solar power. “The EEI supports the rapid deployment of renewable energy solutions to provide clean, safe, affordable and reliable energy to through EEI, businesses are already being sustainably powered across Nigeria.” Duni Adeniyi urged Nigerians to appreciate the hard work of the government and not allow hatred to consume them; “When someone is working, let’s acknowledge it. Hatred and bitterness won’t take us anywhere. Anyways, here is the look of the new Abuja airport runway. Isn’t this beautiful? #BabaInfrastructure.” Austine Abel tweeted the new airport terminal building in Port Harcourt, he noted that “The new terminal building of the Port Harcourt International Airport has been completed. #BabaInfrastructure.” Unarguably, infrastructure is one of the strongest strengths of this administration due to its economic benefits. The Federal Government signed an Executive Order 07 (Road Refurbishment Tax Credit Scheme) which allows Private companies execute construction project then government pays back with Calibrated Tax Relief. Another effective tool is the Presidential Infrastructural Development Fund (PIDF) and also the SUKUK fund project. 1 Like

Lol! Someone must have adviced the presidency to invest in redeeming the image of the country bcoz it has gone to the mood especially within the international community. Nigeria's imaged is damaged so badly and need urgent repair...the job maybe difficult for those that were hired to do it bcoz many Nigerians on social media are angry and they will fight back with their own hashtag. Nigeria can get better but it will only be after 2023 |

A government that pushed fuel from N86.5 to N167 cannot do infrastructure again? A government that increased VAT cannot do infrastructure again? A government that borrows billions cannot do infrastructure again? A government that taxed its citizen to dead point cannot do infrastructure again? We should be asking how much has been looted? 1 Like |

There are still more to come and even the opposition that wasted away 16 years of affluence doing nothing in terms of infrastructural development are also watching. We move on. 3 Likes |

Only a very hateful or dishonest person will deny that Buhari has done well in terms of infrastructure delivery. Still his overall legacy will be a poor one because of his monumental failings at securing the lives and properties of Nigerians. Death, kidnapping, maiming and rape everywhere. Sickening. Importation of guns and weapons of death is a joke and the world sees nothing but complicity from our FG. Chibok kidnapping was a rarity, back then, that shocked the world and prompted the bring back our girls hashtag. Today, under Buhari, kidnapping of hundreds of school kids is the norm. No one is repulsed or shocked any more and the world does not even bother to symphatise with Nigeria at all for the same reason people stopped responding to the boy who had falsely cried "Wolf" too many times. Buhari's legacy, especially outside Nigeria, is horibbly tainted and damaged well in advance of him. Leaving office regardless of his achievements in infrastructure provision. |

Buhari is the Infrastructure President. Corruption was much reduced in his presidency compared to the PDP lootocracy. Sure, insecurity is a problem, but what about the millions of early deaths and poverty that were caused by PDP looting? That is insecurity even if not as dramatic (ie indirect insecurity). Billions that could have been spent on hospitals and infrastructure that would have saved or improved many lives were looted by PDP officials. So overall, Buhari's administration is far better. I also read he's had only 6 trillion naira to spend compared to Jonathan's 51 trillion, but he's accomplished more, by way of infrastructural development, which is just stunning. |
