For Leipzig they went to like division 6 from the bottom level up to the Bundesliga. It will be like Instead of Shiekh buying Man City , he bought one in division 6 and rose through the divisions until he got to the Premier league

For Wolfsburg there was an exception based on the rule that if a corporate body has 20yrs continuous minority interest in a club, they can become majority owner

So if Abu Dhabi was prepared to sponsor Man City as a minority owner for 20yrs, they can become majority owner.

Basically it makes it hard for anyone to just buy a club unless you have long term interest and are prepared to go through the rigours even if you are not making profit

Leipzig's situation had nothing to do with starting from the bottom but more with sharp practices by Red Bull. RB Leipzig rejects applications from most people who are not employees or agents of Red Bull which means although they obey the letter of the law in having membership control, those members themselves are under the control of Red Bull.

Leipzig situation had to do with starting from the bottom because Redbull approached many top-flight even division 2 sides who rejected them and their proposal despite all the money they offered to inject until they were able to find a division 5 team which they used its license and went through all the level of football.

Part of the deal to the other clubs was to have selected people being the members which the other clubs rejected

The point is that there is no exception allowing you to circumvent the 50+ 1 rule just because you are coming from lower leagues to the top.

The exception is the 20 year rule. The authorities didn’t allow RB Leipzig to have their ownership structure just because they were coming from lower leagues, rather RB Leipzig found a way to circumvent the rules and many people in Germany are still critical of them because of this.

What team would have beaten him in the years described? You know the severance package is amortized right? He does not get the money in one tranche. He will be paid for the next few years. Sacking him before the Carabao cup was the acceptance by Levy that it would have not mattered if he won it and that they did not believe he could win it.

Which team would have beaten him in the years described? The Liverpool team he beat in 2005 Carling Cup final went on to disgrace AC Milan in the CL-final & they won it.

The same team ousted Mourinho’s team in the semis with the ghost goal at Anfield. The ball never crossed the line but Luis Garcia wheeled away in celebration and conned the referee.

In 2017, Mourinho beat Pep’s City on his way to win the competition. A lot of people forget about this detail because they only focus on which teams he faced in the final.

Sacking him before the cup final can be explained in many ways. One of them would be the severance package would be more had Mourinho won a cup for Spurs - so Levy quickly truncated the process and sacrificed the cup for millions of pounds sterling.

It would be stupid of Levy to think Mourinho couldn’t have won it considering he’s never lost a Carling cup final in England. He’s got 100% win percentage in that particular competition.

There’s also a hidden trivia that Mourinho is the only manager on the planet that has ever beaten Pep Guardiola in a final. These two pointers are stacked behind Mourinho and I am sure Levy knew this. Levy was expecting ESL money and he was happy to sack Mourinho thinking JP Morgan Chase would wire some stacks to him.

In the end, he lost the best manager on the planet, he lost whatever amount he paid Mourinho for sacking him and the ESL money is not coming. Levy must pay £8m to Florentino Perez for breaching the contract he signed when he joined ESL.

Levy’s loss.

On this episode of debunking baseless and hate inspired agenda towards Ole, we will be rubbishing the unfounded claim that Ole is a yes man and he will not speak up against the super league.

Solskjaer on Super League: I’m a supporter myself & there’ll be a day that I’ll come back & watch Man United & I want to watch a team even with a fear of failure. I didn’t like the concept because it has to be on sporting merit. I want to earn the right to play in Europe "

OGS: "I am happy fans have voiced opinion + we listened. I am a supporter myself. I didn’t like the concept. We have been pioneers. We had Busby Babes. We want to be part of European campaigns. You can’t just give it out because of your name. You have to earn right to be there."

Sir Alex Ferguson : “Scott McTominay is now emerging as one of Manchester United's big players. When you watch Manchester United pick a team for a big game, McTominay is in it. Good character, great trainer, I know a little bit about the boy.”

Sir Alex Ferguson: “I signed him [McTominay] when he was seven or eight. He was actually a centre-forward as a kid. He has sprouted, a little bit like Darren [Fletcher] when he first came.”

Sir Alex Ferguson: “McTominay is a similar type as Darren [Fletcher], long, lanky, good winner of the ball, good turn of pace going forward, great attitude to the game.”

Sir Alex Ferguson: “All the attributes that Darren [Fletcher] had, McTominay has got them. We seldom left Darren out for big games, particularly against Arsenal, he had no problems dealing with Patrick Vieira, and McTominay is following those guidelines.”

Sir Alex Ferguson: “It’s really rewarding for me to see a Scott [McTominay] coming through.”

He was asked to give his opinion on the superleague in the press conference he had today and he did. Was he supposed to ring up sky sports for an expose or something?

Scottish Nepotism.

This was exactly how he gave us Moyes and we saw how that panned out. SAF can’t be taken seriously. It’s a disgrace that other clubs can boast of Kroos, Modric, Verratti, Gundogan, Pjanic, Kimmich, Kante, etc and the equivalent in arguably Europe’s richest club is McTominay.

I am not sure you were a fan of Kante while in Leicester. Someone like you would have dismissed him as a headless chicken running all around the field.

SAF wanted Guadiola and even went to see him in the US in 2012, but he told SAF he had already had somewhere he was going (Bayern Munich)

I was a fan of Kante in 2014/15 for his durability and the fact that he made the most ball recoveries in all the top 5 leagues in Europe.

elampiro:

That’s not true.
Pep turned down SAF’s offer because SAF couldn’t guarantee the Glazers can fund Pep’s multi-million pound projects.

Signing Pep isn’t cheap - he wants the best players in every position and for all the talks before his arrival that he’s best developer of youth in Europe, he’s only promoted Foden in his 5 seasons at City.
