Media doing a bias job when it comes to Arteta. OleOut and LampardOut trended all season. We no even see one bad article about Arteta. Is this how high English Media respect Pep they don't want to lash his boy? Lol Asides, the TikiTaka of Wenger Times aka Wengerball, is there going to be a return to that style, especially as a new coach looms? 2 Likes 1 Share |

daveP: I don't think Arteta out will trend, rather it's Keronke Out the fans are much concerned about. I believe with Keronke selling off his shares a new owner that is passionate about the club will take care of things including Arteta out. I believe Arteta staying or leaving won't help us with Keronke still running the club the way he's doing. 3 Likes |

Roland17: Okay let me put it this way: I believe if Arteta is sacked and we still have Keronke at the helms of affairs, we will still have the age long practice of either spending excessively on players with limited skillset like Pepe or buying cheap players who are of lesser quality compared to our traditional rivals. I believe will still not help us in the long run, we will only go back to fighting top 4 like we used to do in Wenger's latter years. As it stands, I believe in having a money doling sugar daddy and then getting a good coach from our sugar daddy's magnanimity. I don't believe in the current club management/management anymore 2 Likes |

BlueRayDick: I will use my AC Milan as a typical example. We were in the doldrums of the Serie A for nearly a decade after we lost Allergri. We have perhaps the most uncertain and worst ownership now. Milan was just hiring and experimenting by rewarding ex players with coaching roles and we suffered for it until Pioli. That is because ownership was not interested in investing in the team worth more an experienced coach. Then came Pioli...Pioli has used pretty much the same players many of our ex coaches called scarps worsestill, he is doing this with absolutely no funds to invest in the transfer window. But guess what? After he took over, we started seeing steady and consistent progression in the way we play. Significant improvements in most if not all the players many deemed horrible. Pioli totally isolated ownership from the business of improving his team. He worked extremely hard. We finished last season on a high and the decision to bring on Rangnick, a renowned football head after last season was scrapped because Pioli had proven to us we had gold in him. Throughout this season, he kept us competitive and at some point contenders even though we knew we lacked the quality to compete with Inter. But guess who defeated Juventus and is heading to the UCL? Milan.. So my brother, while ownership is an issue, good coaches absolutely find ways to make their team better. Arteta has been an embarrassment to put it kindly. How he sets up his team, manages his players, communicates, develops tactics has absolutely nothing to do with ownership.. all we are just doing is excusing mediocrity. Can you beat your chest and say Arteta will have Leicester in their current position if he was the coach? How about West Ham? But I can assure that Rodgers and Moyes will not have Arsenal languishing in 10th and losing to Villarreal. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Roland17: You are somehow making my point for me with the AC Milan example. As of today AC is just a team playing in the Europa league and fighting for top 4 which is a far cry from the great AC Milan we used to know. What I'm saying is I'm personally not interested in that kind of slow but steady rise.....I'm interested in Arsenal having a sugar daddy like PSG or Man city that suddenly became favorites to win not just their home league but making the final of UCL. I honestly don't think with this same current crop of a players Arsenal will start challenging for EPL or making UCL semi final. That's why I don't care what becomes of Arteta but the club's ownership . I no get the patience of trying different coaches for years before we start even contesting for top 4 again 2 Likes |

BlueRayDick: Baba KSN is not going to sell, I can assure you.. not for now at least. In the just released most valuable sports teams in the world by Forbes, Arsenal is ranked 38th with 2.8B, Kroeke bought it at 1.1B and you think he would sell a cash cow? I desperately hope he sells and that is why I want the fans back in the stadium to force it. So does that mean we should continue to entertain the nonsense Arteta is serving us? If KSN does not sell does that mean we should be stuck with mediocrity? Even if a PSG type yahoo shows up will you trust that type of investment on Arteta? AC Milan is back to where they belong despite having trashy ownership, the worst in European football and don’t forget the Italian economy buttressed by the inflation has not helped matters. But a coach with absolutely no funds used the same trashy players to fight a more robust Inter for the Scudetto and may finish ahead of Juventus.. while playing some of the best football we have seen in a long time. What has Arteta actually done or shown to prove he deserves another shot at this position? Which aspect of our play can you point to and say he has stamped his identity? Absolutely none! I need him out!! 2 Likes |

Roland17: I've lost hope in Arteta even before the Villarreal match, his questionable line ups and approach to games and all....I know he can't outdo himself, but I've also seen our players being useless for no just course. Let's just say I want Arteta to go and I also want the club management/ownership to change. I know Kereonke is all about the economics and all, but for we fans that translates to nothing. Let someone passionate about the game of football takeover and not some shrewd business man interested in Financial analysis. 2 Likes |

Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Roland17(m): 7:37pm On May 10, 2021 |
daveP: Relish wetin? A bid that is short of the valuation of the club.. I don’t see any investor selling at that price especially considering he bought it for 1.1B.. What would be KSN’s gain? 700M? They are greedy and despite the profits they have made over the years, I think the valuation of the club will be huge in determining how much they sell. For KSN to start listening, he has to eclipse 2B and hover around 2.3/2.5B. I will be absolutely shocked if KSN sells for anything less than 2B especially now. There is no pressure to sell despite the noise and protests. If it gets louder and rough, then maybe. KSN are catching a huge break with fans away from the stadium. |

The mistake the board made (and we especially myself who supported them) was to hand the club to a rookie to navigate us through Europe and PL. That was a tall order for someone who has not managed a full league season, as its obvious Arteta didn't learn well from Pep. Keeping this same manager for another season is sign of continued bad management by the board and owners. Worst, outcome is to wait till his contract ends by October or so to avoid paying him off. What we need now is an old head. |

Spy360:A change of coach isn't what Arsenal need. I think there is a problem at the scouting level and that is where the rebuild needs to start. You need good scouts to rebuild accordingly. Look at all the nonsense players that Arsenal has bought. Pepe, Party, Ozil ,Auba,Williams and co. Unfortunately, most of the local nairaland Arsenal fans think Auba is golden. As it stands now, Arsenal is no longer a big club and has been relegated to a mid- table English club. No champions League and no Europa. This means you can't attract any big player. The few smart Arsenal fans will agree with me that Arsenal has no chance qualifying for the champions League for at least the next five years. Rather than investing so much money on "big-fake" players like Partey, Pepe, Auba and Williams, Arsenal will be better scouting for upcoming and young players that won't cost more than 40m. This should at least bring them back to Europa. If you get your signings right then Arteta will turn out well. 1 Like |

ndidibabe:Do you mean irrespective of who the manager is, or actually Arteta. Arteta failed to marshall an attacking plan to score against a weak Villarreal, that for me broke camel's back after all the nonsense we have endured. I agree with revamping our scouting network, but I doubt Arteta's abilities right now. I doubt he will be able to work with lowly rated players. I want him out. 1 Like |
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by ndidibabe(f): 8:56am On May 11, 2021 |
Spy360:What would he had done differently with the attack? People said he removed Auba when he needed a goal. Before Auba's removal, he contributed nothing than his ball that hit the post. Some said Martinelli should have started but was he fit to start? The problem was the two light weight in your midfield + Partey the flop. Auba is average but he would have taken his chances if well fed. In reality, Arteta is a good coach but doesn't have a good team. 1 Like |
