Leave the fool alone. Move on and waste your energy on how to make some more money, instead of wasting it on the dunce. Good luck!

I might knock him unconscious immediately he start doing anything stupid if I try to go through that part.

Is there no other legal way to do this other than involving the police?

Deposit the cheque, make e bounce then report to EFCC.
Make them put the weyrey in prison(issuing dud cheques is a prisonable offence).Unless of course you can't do that for customer relationship issues.
The only reason I have not done that yet is because of time constraints.
Too many commitments from different angles at the same time.

Why will you sign an agreement when the mini bus isn't on ground

Since is balance and carry deal
You would have ensure the bus is made available before sending him the 400k

Now as it stands
You just have to use the same sense you used in getting the 225k to collect the remaining balance

Technically, It wasn't a balance and carry.

See it as a loan.

800k seed with 300k interest spread over a year.

So, the deed of agreement spelt it out as a loan repayable in a year time .

Arrest his ass.

I just hope you didn't pay him in cash and did bank deposit or transfer (evidence of payment).

This would be experience for you to do all transactions on paper in case of dispute.

You can arrest him with 2k, you can send him to prison (hire a lawyer) with 15 to 20k... If he sees he is about to go to jail, the money would appear (mostly by his family and relatives).

A transfer with the details spelt out on the reciept and saved in my phone.

Hmmmm...!
175k remaining....

Ok bros lemme tell u something, the way u did 225k came out still do that , and I will tell u that if u should take that to the police, anything he writes that's what he will be paying till the cash is complete.

Imagine if he say he will be paying 5- 5k till it's complete ..! So I will advice you that you should continue pesting him till the remaining cash comes out.
If he should give u any amount from that 175 k collect it till he complete cos half bread is better than none.

I can bet you that plan won't work again he might even end up collecting a serious beaten on top his money

I might have another way to get back your money...

Go to your bank and complain that you did a business gone bad and tell them to help you escalate to the Fraud department.

Your bank's fraud department will send a mail to your debtor's bank to place a hold on the account until your debtor pays..

Infact your bank's fraud team will also request your debtor's BVN, if it is given, it will be sent to NIBSS for possible watchlisting, which means every of your debtor's account even the one in other banks will be blocked..

When your debtor can not withdraw from any account of his, he will pay back the money thereafter his account will be released..

However, you will need a police report which could cost you #2000 for all the procedures..

I only gave this advise because I am a Fraud investigator..

Cheers

How feasible is this?

Be aware that I have been able to collect a part of the money.

Does this affect the strength of my case?

Hi, all.

I recently tried building a business that didn't fly .

I had partnered with someone to raise funding for a mini bus to be used for intra city transport .

The arrangement was one that I had to make a down payment of 400,000 and he will get me the vehicle after which I will repay in installments.

Long story short, after I signed the agreement papers, made the transfer and was expecting the vehicle in few days , he suddenly started acting funny.

I will call without end and he will leave the line unanswered.

Whenever he manages to pick up, it's one story of how his manager is sick or his child is dieing , so there is no way he could go to Ladipo.

I sensed that he was playing games and asked him to refund my money after three weeks of scanty and almost inexistent communication. And that's how the main drama started.

He would instruct me to forward my account number, go and meet this and go and meet that.

With bloodshot eyes , I stormed his office on Sunday and managed to wrench 225,000 from him after a laborious try.
Now , my 175,000 is suspended on heavy balloons of spurious promises .

I have been thinking of going to the police but nothing will come out of it considering how entwined he is with the local police force .

When push comes to shove, I'm aware they might direct that he pay me over the next ten years in coins and cowries grin.l .

But I don't want that.

The other option is to go there and do werey. cool To exert physical force . But im security go overpower me. And I don't leave without a fight. So it will be bloody.

One of the topics from Islamic section on the front page admonishes against anger and enjoins us to brood over the possible consequences of our intended actions.

So, this one too has Kleg. cheesy

Have you ever been in my shoe ?

What do you suggest I do?

The money in question is my home and abroad.
My last card!

And a confrontation will sooner or later ensue.

How do I go about this with minimal friction and prompt response from him?

go to the nearest Army barrack see the commander, explain to him why you can not go the police and also how u don't have anyone to go to except him. Explain ur ordeals to him tell him how u borrowed the money with the hope to payback when the business is running, now the thief is putting u into deep shiit. He should please help u as younger brother.
