@Kovic19, you can always apply for IHS refund when you have made previous payment and then applied for a new visa with another IHS payment. Also for those that paid IHS and working in the healthcare sector before the 31st march exemption, you can apply with your dependants through this email (IHSrefunds@homeoffice.gov.uk) with your full details and payment information and if no response in 28days, send it via the complaint section here : internationalcomplaints@homeoffice.gov.uk. This can be done online as well via this link https://www.gov.uk/complain-uk-visas-immigration.

If they don't respond in 28days keep sending, ours and so many others I know got refunded after 6months of initial complaint. Infact, I have raised another complaint because I believe they refunded a lesser amount than we are due and after 1month, they said they are still investigating .

They have been falling behind their usual timescale response, so in all just keep pushing even if na £100 na your money

@tray2, you can get a mortgage on Tier 2 visa with 12months validity, we got ours with 18months or less, it wasn't really an issue as such.

Hi, I think you should concentrate on graduating from school. Once you have your certificate, served and gained some experience, getting a job as a Radiographer in the UK won't be much of an issue. Cheers

Your shoe making can earn something but only during summer when the weather is warmer and you could sell them then at your church, mosque or local Nigerian restaurant / beer parlour but generally people walk faster in the UK than we do in Nigeria (maybe because of the cold) and most people white or black wear covered shoes or boots with socks most of the year round as this is more practical.

Having said that, what can earn you money year round irrespective of weather is barbing, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrician, bricklaying etc but Naija plumbing will not cut it in the UK as you have to be certified by a Govt body to be a plumber in the UK as you will be dealing with Gas fittings and expensive boilers which the Govt regulates very closely to prevent deaths by carbon monoxide poisoning by shoddy plumbing work which can land the plumber in jail for causing death by negligence.

The UK is the single parent capital of Europe simply because of their anti family laws that handsomely rewards single mothers with regular payments PLUS a cut of the mans salary even though the same system has kicked him out of the house and away from his kids.

Long and short, the grass is always greener on the other side and instead of having a target of going to Nigeria to bring a wife, its safer to just let nature take its course and allow yourself to fall in love with whoever the universe channels your way be that black, white, brown, Nigerian or Non Nigerian.
