Did you buy the car tok? Or 9ja used? Or Tok but have been used privately?

Which of thses?

If 9ja used probably the former owner saw all of these problems coming so he quickly sold out to you and you now inherited them.

If tok, all of those issues have been underlay since waiting for the right time to manifest.

This is the reason I'll always pick the corolla b4 any other car for ehailing because it can sustain injury and still work "managory".

As a matter of fact, camry (big daddy) for ehailing should be rated among the worst cars to use on ehailing but only a few veterans know this facts. The civic 06-08 model is far ahead of the biggy self let alone the 03-05 model.

The only thing good about the car is its space,( good for family picnic because it can carry lots of things). but apart from that? No wonder call it big4nothung.

Yeye cargrin
Any car can frustrate it user with the right amount of abuse. Though I agree with you that some car can tolerate abuse more than the other. Corolla would have been the ideal car for this hustle cos its more or less a perfect car but its too overpriced in my own opinion. All cars have their Do's and Don'ts, know this and know peace. Guys stop being lazy, do some research about that car you're eyeing. The camry 2003/2004 is another good car for the hustle, pros are; More engine power 2.4ltr/1.8 ltr engines, Not a thief magnet like its corolla counterpart, parts are relatively affordable too, Cars has more spacious cabin and boot, riders like it. Forgot to mention that Car is cheaper to purchase too. Cons are: Delicate engine as the 2az engines are prone to oil shortage and overheating. If due diligence isn't done in checking the oil guage everytime, the engine could get knocked. Car isn't as fuel economical as the corolla but not that bad. Suspension isn't as solid as the corolla too. If you intend buying the Camry, its better to go for the 2003/2004. This model comes with the ever rugged 10pin gearboxes while the 05/06 camry comes with the sensitive 13pin gearbox. The 13pin gearbox can fail on you if not handled properly. I used the 03 camry for ehailing for 9 months and I didn't experience any serious issue with it, just normal wear and tear.

Guys I find this interesting for us. Local govt touts shouldn't be encouraged. https://www.nairaland.com/6583254/traffic-offence-lasg-arrests-3

MC Ice and Folashade of Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1 always say Local govt officials don't have the right to arrest anybody or hold ur car.

Stand ur ground, only on-duty officials of Lagos State Task Force, Lastma, Police etc are empowered to enforce Lagos Traffic laws.

Don't fall prey. They are in Ikoyi, Alimosho, Yaba, Oshodi, Ikeja, Surulere... be vigilant, and smart

Point of correction boy I'm not a commercial driver please! please!! please!!!

E-hailing is a ride sharing service that offers cooperate rides to my destination so I can decide to walk you out of my car if you're not playing by my role or if i don't feel comfortable with the way you look before entering my car. So get you little self educated first before you come challenging me on my roles.

Go read the Uber and Bolt roles of engagement, there is a cleaning fee attached if a rider messes up a driver's car. It just so unfortunate that most of these things don't workhere in nigeria, this is the reason Foriegners come here and do anyhow.

I can't count the numbers of times I've stopped people from eating in my car or stopped a ride half way and ordered them out as riders insisted they must eat. Give me 1star for all I care I've my integrity intact.

A rider had asked for water to clean his shoes one time b4 he entered into my car that's because he saw how neat my car was the moment he opened the door, he immediately asked, "chairman abeg you get pour water?" I didnt even know his intention not until he started watching his shoes because his road was bad to walk out... As a matter of fact we already agreed I was not driving further to pick him up and so he had to walk down to me. I'm very sure drivers had cancelled on him numerously. The trip ended I asked him to go without collecting money. Why? because he first brought the challenge even when i didnt asked for it (respect), big guy oh with fat pocket.

Uber will always say, "everyone deserves to be respected and should be respected". That ride was a Uber ride.

So what sort of mentality do you've? People from poor background tends to have these kinds of nasty and stupid behavours.

Do driver always have to clean their car at the end of every trip they embark on? All in the name of service rendering? C"mon men! Have some sort of respect for yourself and people will respect you.

It's the way you lay your bed a visitor will lie on it.

You're changing the whole narrative bros. You love to speak trash all the time, wrong comparisons, and wrong analysis. This topic is limited to how riders should get into your car with clean feet on a day when it rains. You were in so much hurry to type shii you didn't check to see where I said "some excesses need to be curbed." Little wonder you lost all your driving accounts. Arguing with you is a waste of time, enjoy your day chief.

My body just dey pepper me since, didn't drive thru out April. Just the small hustle I hustle this month my car just wan give me Hbp. Spent almost 40k on Alternator, plugs and exhaust net last 2 weeks. Worked last weekend, I say make i warm my car this morning. Check engine light show. My mind skip.
Scanned it and it showed error code p0138 high voltage bank 1 sensor 2 and P0606 ECM/PCM processor error. I know say that one na brainbox wahala. Went to my mechanic to check it for me. The RPM was really low. I got the model of brainbox from mech. The car kind of went back to normal after it was put back, managed to drive it home and park. The car can't start anymore right now though. I noticed that when I start the ignition I don't hear the fuel pump anymore. It's 2.4l 2005 Camry. Any ideas on brain box price my people? Brainbox SN 89661-06B30

This has nothing to do with brain box. It happened to my Camry 2005. It was just clogged air filter and dirty throttle body. Change air filter and clean the throttle body with its spray.

Just talk to who ever you're giving your car to like a brother, make them see reasons why it benefits the both of you if car have to spend less time atbthe workshop, complains are not that bad but don't make it become nagging.

You too try to also understand lagos is a commercialize city and any car that's on the road on a daily basis should/will encounter some dents, scratches or hit and run incidence at some points so you have to be patient and ignore some things.

Though driving is about carefulness and understanding, by God's grace for over 16yrs of driving the only time I hit a car was when I was using dru23's car along college rd and I was left with no choice because the guy double crossed me at a close range.

Twice my side mirror had been hit and scattered, 1st was on my 1st day of driving grin
2nd was last yr in VI by one yeye korope on traffic the idiot did one way hit scattered my morrow japa grin

Other two cases I was parked and a drunkard ran into my car while the other was still with the civic where a trailer hit me on traffic.

To the glory of God those are the only accidents and non will happen again because lessons where learnt from them all.

So what im trying to say is, even if you no hit person person go hit you but with God on your side and you always following Gid it will be minimal or even absent self.
you're very correct bro. May God continue to guide and protect us is this hustle. If you don't hit, be ready to take a hit anytime. Major sratches and dent occur in traffic, some would even happen and you won't notice until you get home.
