ednut1: #ButWhy......@All, let us endeavour to diligently cross check our applications, IRCC have done all in their power to make it simple and straightforward for us, even providing a way to interpret the ECA report. To err is human, but let just try and do our own part. It doesn't hurt to even ask a trusted friend to help cross check your application. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/education-assessed/read-report.html |

mdbktony: Before you decide please contact MPNP directly/email and ask....it seems even if you want to decline the LAA you still need to contact them anyway. In your email explain that Altona was chosen in error. You plan to reside in Brandon where your sponsor resides. Also mention that both Altona and Brandon are OUTSIDE Winnipeg and you would have gotten the 200 points for relative connection and 50 points for regional location regardless of whether you chose Altona or Brandon. You may get a favourable response. If the response is not favourable then you'll need to decline the LAA and create an new EOI. https://www.immigratemanitoba.com/2015/04/23/expression-of-interest-frequently-asked-questions/ All the best and keep us posted! 2 Likes

canadaishome: This does not surprise me when something as serious as Medical School Exams, Professors of Medicine allow their children and their friends to cheat. I was a Medical Student at UI Med School many years ago and 20% of my class cheated to pass exams in a situation where people who are repeating decide to do division of labour and instead of studying every thing they decide to study just upper limb and someone else studies lower limb, thorax etc, etc and then they sit at the back of the class and compare notes and end up scoring 100%. This is apart from the children of Professors of Medicine who were being given preferential treatment in the exam hall (e.g. coming too late for an exam and instead of disqualifying her, the invigilator (a lecturer who was taught in med school by the girls father who is a Prof of medicine) kept repeating to our hearing "where is the she that must be obeyed" until the Profs daughter showed up more than an hour late for the exam. And then there is the case of the son of a Prof of medicine in my class who used to see the real exam questions before the exam date and then circulate them to his inner circle and they all end up scoring 100% in the exam . No wonder there are so many heartless killer doctors in Nigeria. So you can see that many exams in Nigeria have been compromised since a long time ago and this is a dishonor and disservice to the majority of Nigerians who work very hard to pass exams and i remember leaving an NHS job in disgust some years ago because an ECDL exam i passed with 92%, i was asked to retake it and when I asked why, the invigilator said she couldn't be sure that i did not cheat to pass and I had to lecture the lady to disabuse her mind from what she reads on the internet as not all Nigerians are cheats. (The invigilator was Jamaican and she was put up to the hatchet job by my line manager (who was also Jamaican) because I refused to bow down to him) 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Ilekokonit: True that dear bro. But we must also remember that we still have people, might be quite few though, that are still upright in this same system who won't condone such, even when it pertains to their own children. I attended a uni like that in the south-south and I can tell you my coursemate who was then the Dean's daughter failed enough courses and couldn't progress to the next level. The second time she had the same issue she had to withdraw from that faculty, in line with the faculty's rule, while the father was still a dean. With its prevalence and the way parents are turning a blind eye to the issue, I must agree with you sha, that cheating nowadays has become more of an inborn trait that, for now, appears to have come to stay. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Good day all, My husband had his bachelors in FUTO via direct entry. He was expected to send both his FUTO and diploma transcripts to WES for evaluation. We sent his transcripts (for both schools) to WES and WES requested for verification on the 16th of April. The polytechnic he had his diploma confirmed receipt of this request and responded to WES (this has been accepted on his profile). However, FUTO claims they never got any verification request from WES. I reached out to WES and they sent another verification request to FUTO on the 10th of May. Till date, FUTO claims they haven't received any verification request. Meanwhile WES claims they have sent it twice! This is becoming frustrating and I don't know what else to do. What could be the issue with FUTO receiving this request? Any advise will be much appreciated. thank you guys. |

Tonyamori: I agree with you. I have someone in the school helping me work this through. He claims that he has checked the official mail severally and no mail from WES asking for verification for my husband. The weird part is that the school has received some emails from Wes for some other applicants but my husband’s own wasn’t there. |

canadaishome:I am surprised noone sees nothing wrong with this post. I can't really see what it seeks to achieve. Writing this on this public space is more dangerous that what the alleged corrupt person did. Nigerians do not understand the gravity of putting something online. That is the major access that westerners have to us.. We don’t have any other record to prove anything that we do. Don't spread panic or fear or give them hint on what to do. You are the threat here, not even the person that reached out to somebody. If you want to fight corruption, you should tell the person to return the money or whatever. Not put it online for the whole world to access. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Philawsopher:Exactly! What was his motive? Even with the questions as alleged, you really cannot do much difference on the exam day. E.g on speaking, you would definitely sound like a robot; on listening part, what is the use of the questions without the CD? On the reading part, it's the same perceived answer that would also be written on the exam day. So to what end? There was no reason whatsoever to have come to vomit it online. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

I suggest he deletes that post. Because ever since I read it, I kept on wondering why someone will want to put panic on our minds rather than promote encouragement. Good evening everyone. I just want to share my testimony on this platform. Prayer works and we should include it in every step of this journey. I started studying for ielts in February and I took the exams in May. First and only attempt is LRSW 8.5,8,7,7. After the exams I mentally went over my speaking test and realised I didn't use variety of vocabulary and I corrected myself once, and paused twice in it. But I kept praying that "let my people go" result I.e 7 be awarded to me. God did it. I'm so grateful. I started Wes Feb as well. My institution just sent verification last week after almost a month of saying they never received the email. Wes has started analysing it. Does anybody who has walked this line know if the ECA will be out latest June ending? I can hardly wait to be in the pool because that's one step closer to out dreams. It shall end in praise for us all. Less I forget I'm at 462 points, but not resting my oars. Looking into PNPs as well as starting French lessons next month. 12 Likes |

Hello please, I need some insights in understanding this process. I hear the last score was 380. Is there any reason why someone with 391 wouldn't get an invite. I'm a bit confused on this. Appreciate answers that could clear this out for me. Thank you |

olamide34: Well I don't think I have any specific things that helped me apart from just following the instructions. For listening try not to lose concentration. My problems with reading was True, false and not given sections. I guess that what gave me 8 in reading. The part they say not more than two words, follow it. Then spellings as well. A wrongly spelt correct answer would be marked wrong. I practiced with Crack Ielts with Rob on YouTube for listening. 3 Likes 2 Shares |
