If he leaves now, we will loss big time so it's only sensible that we keep him for one more season in hope that he rediscovers his form and then we can sell him on the high...

One step forward and one step backwards always with him. With his age and experience he should not be having such stinking seasons. He might click and fulfill his potential elsewhere but i don't think he can be trusted to have sustained success here. So the best thing for both sides is a mutually beneficial divorce.

Within 1 or 2 years he might just be another Mata blocking the pathway of our academy players. A fresh start elsewhere might be what he needs.

You are right though to an extent. If Martial goes i expect another forward apart from Sancho to come in.........but don't rule out a Greenwood like progression in Hannibal, allowing Pogba to play that left side on a more regular basis OR even allowing Hannibal himself to play that left sided when needed. Another player that might make a big step is Amad.

There is also the fact that all though Sancho has played most of his Dortmund career on the right he is as good if not better on the left. Also even if we add only Sancho to that attack we might get a rested Rashford and a rested and improved Greenwood, in addition to either Hannibal or Amad stepping up.

Central midfield was really where we suffered last season, and will continue to suffer if we don't make changes there.

Even pogba said he has less defensive responsibility on France duty but at United he is expected to defend.

A good CDM of Younger Matic-esque and a CB that is good defensively and can actually run will do pogba a lot of good.
