Yes but not reasonable

Studying Mass Communication has become a waste of time. 90% of OAPs did not study Mass Comm. Nowadays, all you need to be a presenter is to be able to speak britico english. Radio and TV stations are more interested in your SKILLS than in your Kpali.

Last bullet: There are many people who practice journalism who did not even study mass comm. You can decide to be a journalist by starting a youtube channel!

In this digital age, it is quickly losing relevance, so are many degree courses.

What we need do is scrap some courses and create future-proof ones.

Take up the course since it requires minimal effort to make a 2.1 in such field. Channel your time and energy into learning IT skills online - coding, web dev., data science, . . .

Certificates doesn't determine your job type In my country, a mass communication holder can be a bank manager tomorrow, so there's no criteria of the type of job u will he getting after graduation.



Just make sure u have connection at higher places that's all, anything can happen.

Moreover although covid-19 lockdown only journalism were ond of the few jobs that were not affected..

Studied mass communication, after the first week of graduation till date, I have never ever set my eyes on my certificate again, in fact, it is in a different state from where I live.
