Even if you can't do it,must you said it,why not giving us the usual false Hope that we are accustomed to because it gives us strength to hope on better tomorrow even if the tomorrow never comes or you want us to die of heart attack since we're accustomed to all your promise and fail, infact you will not succeed if that is your plan.
Re: Dapo Abiodun: Ogun Roads Can’t Be Fixed In 20 Years by NnamdiN: 8:34am On Jul 07, 2021
1 year is enough to fix all if they want to fix it.

My theory.
Empower indigenous construction companies to take up construction of all the bad roads.
Pay them monthly for as long as it takes to complete the jobs but with a lot of interest.

Abia don't even really have bad roads like that
Only the major federal roads,
That pass through the state (as it shares border with 5 states)

The whole of Abiriba in Abia (small London)
don' t even have a single bad road, even igbere too, but that can't even be said of leki ,vi or any other part of Lagos
Not withstanding that The towns I mentioned has more landmass than leeki and co.
bad road in Lagos
Is almost every where
Abia own is just few part outskirt of aba
My brother calm down
N.a. person wey get road dey talk of bad and good roads but person wey no get at all wetin him wan dey talk? How many roads are in Aba compared to Lagos? There is no comparison between abia road network/condition and Lagos'
There is no point to start from

The governor should resign immediately.
He was NOT elected to open AN EXCUSE FACTORY in Ogun state.

We have always suspected him to be INCOMPETENT. His statement proves us right.

Has he tried BOT? The governor needs to up his game. Anyone who can afford a house should be able to afford tenement rate or land use charge.

How many years did it take to reconstruct Europe after the 2nd World War? Less than 20 years.

This bold is a myopic mindset. You want the government to look for more ways to milk the people. Have you considered the efficiency and utilization of current funds? Have you considered waste and how to stop it? Have you considered sustainability?
Many middle class and poor people in Nigeria don't build homes because they can afford it. They do it to escape debts and looking for rent. Many of them move into their uncomfortable and uncompleted houses. Some without electricity, water, decking, plastering, painting, furnishings or security. Some move out of the societal pressure and accomplishment sense of being a landlord. Majority of them are just managing and scrapping through. So for all your money generation sense to think is how to be enriched by them is wickedness. Be more innovative.

But before election they can promise in one year, all roads will be tarred and watered. Go to Alagbole, Mowe, Ofada, you willl wonder if there is semblance of governance. Yet people will hail them unending. See the rubbish Amosu did for 8 years, yet he is still a Senator, sometimes you can not blame politicians for the foolishness of electorates.

Anybody expecting this country to change for better is just waiting his time.Almost all the roads under local government are in deplorable stage and these same local government chairman are being retained ,because they have one God Father.

I tell you in its worst state, he is better than the current Governor. Go to Joju, go to Conoil, go to Oju ore and the likes. And these places are economic hubs of the state.

Amosun is the worst, he is just an accountant without the sense of prudency. His infrastructure projects negates the principle of fairness.

Some one don't wanna make roads for his people.

Just start from somewhere, the next Governor too till the road network is achieved.

South east Nigeria is a dead zone infrastructurally.
No good roads, no jobs hence the mass movements of her youths to other geopolitical zones of the country.

Is land use charge a new thing?

How much is it per annum?

You have a point though about the utilisation of existing funds. Your governors live large amidst lack.

The government should look for ways to utilize what they have, not for more ways to milk the populace. Are the living conditions of the people a norm? The countries and economies we're copying land use charge from. How did they utilize the other billions? Are the house owners living in deplorable situations like most land owners? Are their land owners sourcing their own water, electricity, security and even roads? Let's copy with sense not just to show we can generate revenue. All the IGR Ogun state has always boasted of, where is it?
Re: Dapo Abiodun: Ogun Roads Can’t Be Fixed In 20 Years by iwaeda: 9:09am On Jul 07, 2021
If only our governors are wise and right thinking, the money will be generated from good amenities. You can imagine more than 50% of people working in Lagos live in Ogun state, but only Abeokuta is being "developed". Most companies around Sango-Otta and Mowe-Ofada axis are closed and about to. I will not be surprise if the man win again based on religion and party faithful.

Keep fooling yourself.

Abia state is rehabilitating that road fully as we speak, while another governor will still comeback after 20 years to tell you it will take him another 20 decades to fix dilapidated roads in your ogun.

It's people like you still believe the country will be better one day, you better wakeup from your slumber.

Hope is what is giving you strength, that's what politicians sell to you now, so that you can fold your arms & do nothing, while they continue their embezzlement.

What a maopic thought, you don't want to hear the truth, that the only solution for this country now is to split, but you want to hear that one day the evil ruler of this country will turn to an angel

In 2008 I came to Atan in otta and bought 2 acre of land for 1.8m. A friend advised me to buy land in lagos. Due to the cost i bought just 1 plot at Baale Animashaun road, alakuko for 2 million.
Today the 2 acres in Ogun is worth only 16 million naira while the 1 plot in lagos is worth 30 million naira. And this is only because of useless leaders the ppl the state keep electing. I sold my land in 2020 and have since fully moved to lagos. Ogun doesnt want to develop at all, its only the residents there that are doing everything and paying lots of taxes.
Imagine buying a tokunbo vehicle and the engine knocked while going to Ogun State just once! My Altima entered a big puddle inside Iyana Iyesi for Otta and it knocked while I was trying to get. Go to Abk, its the same rubbish; the governor and half the civil servants have hijacked the entire road projects and doing ONLY Abk because of their hotel projects. The worse thing is, Ogun State will kill your business with rubbish taxes. You even pay thugs taxes! What a useless and rubbish state with pathetic and hopeless leader. It’s not 20 years, it’s 1,000,000 unless the people there get rid of these rubbish ruling them come 2023
where are you from please

There are many roads in ABA.

Movement within Aba is one of the easiest in Nigeria if not the easiest. Have you seen the road network in Aba?

If 80% of the roads in Aba were tarred, the whole south west apart from Lagos can never compare.
