I believe there are several reasonable reasons why a 40 year old lady may never have been married. But the only reason a 40 year old guy would probably be single is FINANCE. Anything asides from finance may be related to one problem or the other, e.g. family problems, ex issues, drug, irresponsibility, etc. Lack of finance already is an issue. If finance isn't an issue, then there are other issues.

I may be wrong.
