Lagos is always hotly contested by apc and pdp.it does not deliver bloc votes infact, there are at least 4 lgas dominated by pdp.with more advancement in elections, the ability of southern states to rig is reducing and will reduce further even in the north... When am talking about inflation,I dont mean the type where tinubu increases his votes by just 100k or 200. I mean something like pdp 200,000 apc 2 million.that cannot work in lagos esp now that the electoral law will make card readers compulsory Lagos gave OBJ over a million votes in 2003 FYI. Even 2011 elections, Jonathan won Lagos by a very wide margin. The basic fact is that rigging and vote inflation can happen in Lagos. If card reader is made compulsory, Lagos alone won't be affected. In fact, Northern states will be more affected because most northern LGAs usually jettison the use of card readers claiming it didn't work and they couldn't get replacement. If card reader becomes compulsory such states where results are usually written will be more affected and I can name such states off hand. Most are in the north and south South |

MrColdsweat: The military is also a dangerous piece in the hand of sokoto. Boko haram, bandits, herdmen and the importation of fulanis from Senegal, Gambia, Mali, guinea to southern Nigeria is also a factor. They want a large population of abokis in the south so as to clearly defeat a southern presidential candidate.
They appoint the inec chair, they control the judiciary.
Sokoto is very much likely to control Abuja beyond 2023. Southern governors are only deceiving southerners. well if that should be the case, ugm and igboho matter will be a child's play to what will happen. |

GDP performance of Nigeria’s Presidents since 1999
Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, 2011-2015 (4.80%)
GEJ took over as president after the death of his predecessor in 2010 and was later elected President in 2011. His presidency saw the rollout of reforms including fuel deregulation which was hit by the “#OccupyNigeria” protests, and also the successful implementation of the first phase of Nigeria’s reforms, which saw the deregulation of Distribution and Generation of PHCN assets into the GenCos and DisCos of today (transmission is still in the hands of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, which distributes the power to DisCos nationally).
Jonathan’s 2011 presidential year saw economic growth at 5.31%. The highest growth rate was 6.22% recorded in 2014. Nigeria’s GDP growth averaged 4.80% under his leadership, from 2011 to 2015.
Muhammadu Buhari, 2016-2020 (0.31%)
Buhari’s administration historically signified the transfer of leadership to an opposition party in Nigeria’s democratic history, an election where promises to diversify the economy from crude oil were made, alongside others.
For several reasons, the administration has fallen short of its promises although it has scored fairly good points in social welfare schemes executed under the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP). Notable among these programs are the National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP); N-Power program aimed at creating jobs for 1 million beneficiaries; GEEP programme to provide loans to an additional 1 million traders, farmers and market people; and the Social Register, to accommodate an additional 1 million households. Others include the TRADERMONI, MARKETMONI, FARMERMONI, MSME Survival Fund, and N75 billion National Youth Investment Fund (NYIF).
Under the Buhari administration, the economy has experienced rising food inflation and currency inflation which have seen Nigeria’s GDP per capita fall to the level it was 40 years ago.
His 2016 presidential year experienced a decline of -1.58%. The highest growth thus far is 2.27% recorded in 2019. Although his administration ends in 2023, from his arrival in 2016 to 2020, GDP growth under his leadership averaged 0.31%.

In November 2017, it was reported that President Muhammadu Buhari ratified and inaugurated a number of policies relating to the military, one of which, according to the PUNCH newspaper, includes a recommendation to “phase out the training of female regular combatant cadets.” This is a reversal of a policy created during the tenure of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
[b]What is most astonishing about this move is that it is not based on the performance or competence of women already admitted into the National Defence Academy. The recommendation for the ban was made after complaints had been made by unnamed northern Muslim leaders. These leaders, most likely men, based their proposal on being worried about women becoming leaders within the army, and giving orders to men.
Interestingly, the women already admitted into the programme have been performing beyond expectations, even, according to a source, outperforming their male colleagues: the Navy Gold award (highest in the navy category) the Army Silver award, and the Air Force Silver award (second highest in the army and air force respectively) went to women, and two female cadets outshone their male counterparts to win placement at the United States Military Academy in West Point.

If push comes to shove, especially if he runs in 2023, don't be surprised by the figures you'll see from Lagos. I have already told you. Voter turnout is not usually as it is been painted in the north. You're even using Nairaland to judge. How many northerners are on NL in the first place? Most results that come in from the north are usually culled from mainstream media not from voters. To buttress my point, have you seen the online registration exercise ongoing in the country, the south has almost triple of the figures from the north. Voter registration and even voting is easier in urban places than rural. Let me tell you, on the night before elections, most states in the north mobilize their agents with cash, foodstuffs and even recharge cards to go to the hinterland and buy people's votes, most of whom don't have voter's card nor have their names on the voters register. You can't do that in the south because of the so-called sophistication. It does not indicate that more people turn out to vote in the north. It is the fact that most parts of the north are rural therefore the elections there get less coverage than in the south. So take it from me. The worst rigging that has ever happened in this country happened in the South between 2003 and 2007. A certain Yoruba man was the president. So stop claiming that rigging is hard in the southwest. It's the people there that are not amenable to rigging and most importantly, the politicians in the south generally see less reason to rig more than in the north. For example, can you imagine Kwankwaso boasting that Almajiri votes got Jonathan out of office and everyone knew he was talking about underage voting yet no one killed him for it. Just imagine if he was a southerner and he said that. I'm sure that will have been the end of his political career I hope you realize that Katsina has been a PDP state from 1999 until 2015. The biggest politician from Kano (Kwankwaso) has been more of a PDP man than APC too. So, stop using eight years to mumble issues up. That's the problem you generally suffer from. APC syndrome. Kindly show the statistics. I hope you know the SW has had more elections overturned due to malpractice than any other region since 1999. The north has also had least not because there's no rigging but because politicians there and the people especially see it as a normal. I've given you live examples even using 1993 elections. Rigging happens in the north more than the south because their politicians see it as normal and people are generally docile there. Now you have turned around to say it's a national problem. Who said otherwise? What i'm telling you is there are more inflated figures in the north than south and election malpractices occur more in the north than south. Just that no one in the north is ready to make noise over it. I've shown you example with the online voter registration which can't be rigged. You can see how the numbers of the north have plummeted sharply. All these can happen in the south too. It's just that South are more amenable to normalcy and fairness. Simple!! |

I also don't know why you think the PDP is not a popular party in the north. PDP is actually popular in the north. It's the Buhari factor that turned the tide against them. The SS, SE and SW voting trends always shows apathy and interest depending on the region the leading candidates are from. But for the north, they can't even get 70% turnout yet you claim they are politically aware. Go to the north. How many of them have voters cards? They don't!! They only get ferried to polling units to collect giveaways and identify themselves based on extralegal means. I've given you a very recent example. Online registration, the north is coming last. Let them start manual now you will see names coming up from thin air. Rigging in the north exceeds 60%. Go and check 2003 and 2011 elections and see the percentages ANPP/CPC got in those core north states. My point are: 1. Historically, rigging occurs in the SW. It has reduced because of the tendency of the people to not want to be fanatical about any party or candidate. 2. North has a lot of fictitious names on their voter register which is where the rigging starts there. Also, they have a lot of people who are not eligible to vote by virtue of age, nationality and possession of voters card who still vote anyway because northerners don't see anything wrong in those things as long as they are voting for the popular party. That is also besides the changing of figures during collation which occurs a lot in the north. There was a video in the 2019 election where results were being rewritten in Borno after voters had left. You are trying to appropriate words for me.I never used court cancellation of elections as evidences of rigging but even if we use it,elections have been upturned more in the core north than even in ss/se.I think the first court cancellation of elections took place up north. I already told you that fictitious names on voters register are also rampant in the south and I used my village as a case study.there is a village in odukpani lga of crs in 2011 whose figure was also inflated, atan onoyom.I was an eyewitness to that one also.while the north use foreigners and underage voters,we in the south employ multiple multiple thumb printing, use of palmkernels to vote.analysis of rivers and akwa ibom votes in 2015 also revealed non humanfinger prints...in essence, both regions rig indiscriminately.so we arw in agreement there. Let me also agree that the is apathy up north.so how do we decide who rigs more? Thank goodness you uses 2003 and 2011 stats.look at those stats again,ss and se turnout was 70% while north was 60.even percentage vote in ss and se was higher than in the north.so in summary, the ss and se rig more. If you disagree, let us post the2003 and 2011 results and see who is wrong |

So it's not true that the north has had elections upturned for malpractice more than the SS/SE. Good you are now coming around to my point that election inflations occur in the north. Now you ask how to know who rigs more. Very simple. How do you inflate votes? By having an inflated voter register. But remember your voter register cannot exceed the figures given by NPC as the population of your state. That's why you see the north inflating population figures. The shenanigan started in the early 1970s when state creation started. That's when the north realized the importance of higher population. It's from there the rigging of voter register and voter inflation starts. So who inflates population figures more? The north or south? The answer will give you the pointer of who rigs more. If you use only 2003 and 2011, you will be discountenancing the incumbency factor. It's common that the region that has the sitting president usually experiences higher voter turnout during elections. 2003 and 2011 was a southerner so you can expect that. Go and look at 2019 and see how almost all the states in the north where Buhari was popular beat all their previous voter turnout in previous elections. Yet the total turnout was less overall than previous elections. Even areas where he was not popular, he still had a very strong showing. You can make something of that in terms of voter suppression and votes inflation. So if you look at it holistically, you see that the north have already rigged systematically by their bogus population figures. That's a problem we have with representation in the House of Reps. In the US where we copied from, House of reps congress is decided by population of districts. In Nigeria, we adopted same and added landmass. What does landmass have to do with representation. That bogus idea is because it is known that the south is more populated than the north. So if you use strictly population, anytime we have a credible census, the House of Reps will end up having more seats from the south than the north. |

I hate to be a mood killer but just have to set the record straight.
1. The north is not in panic mode over the so called southern meeting, the north knows that nothing will come out of it. Yoruba and Igbo regions are looking for two different things out of Nigeria.
2. The so called southern governors are late to the party, no one in the north is saying it's not the turn of the south.
3. Igbos will back a Fulani candidate just as they have always done in the past as soon as their schemes to bring their own candidate fail.
4. To my Yoruba who may fall for this cheap blackmail trap Igbos are setting to blame you for why southern collusion didn't work and the reason Igbos are voting for Fulani again in 2023. Know that Igbos don't vote and have never voted for a Yoruba candidate in the history of Nigeria and won't start today, they just want to take advantage of you and use you to get to where they are going since the north has rejected them. This is all to get the north to come back to a negotiating table with them. Stop being a pawn.
5. Lastly, Yoruba's candidate is Tinubu, a real Yoruba who has seen it all and knows the road well. A man who has been there done it all, a true leader. No puppet or an ATOUNRIWA with divided loyalty and stamped with Yoruba name will use Yoruba's slot. The book of favor done and owed says we can count on northern votes in return for what we did for Buhari. Let's wait and see. |

If you add ncnc and ag votes, it almost doubles that of NPC. Again, you didn't defeat me anything. Your problem is selectively choosing data that buttresses your point while overlooking all others. 1959 elections was conducted by the colonialists. 1993 elections was adjudged the fairest we ever had. Go look at the figures of the two. Instead of harping about rivers producing 2million votes which was obviously done to counter the northern votes, you should ask yourself why the most credible elections present fewer votes from the North while the most bogus gives them consistently higher votes. I'll produce the correct figures for the 2003, 2011 and 2019 elections for you soon. But at least the most credible elections we've ever had which are 1959 and 1993 elections clearly support my claims. It's only that you've chosen to be wilfully blind to that fact. |

But you should know that 17 governors can't just be rabble-rousing. More importantly, the move for southern governors was initiated by a Yoruba governor from ondo state. If you know Akeredolu, you'll know he's not someone who just does frivolous things. Also note, the meeting where the governors officially asked for power shift was held in Lagos, home of Tinubu and with much state sponsored fanfare too. If you can't read between the lines, that it was done after Buhari declared that no one can sit in Lagos and decide zoning, and after the APC registration was re-done with the obvious intent of shifting its numbers in favour of the North, then I think you should look at things again. 2023 is not an igbo Vs Yoruba affair. Let me tell you plainly, it's North Vs South affair. The earlier you realise the Igbo are not the main stumbling block to Yoruba 2023 aspiration, the better for you. |

These are the results of the 1959 elections. I hope you can dissect it properly or you need me to do that for you. You can also see the votes from each region there and you'll clearly see that NPC had the least votes of the major three parties. A major reason why the NPC had fewer votes was because they concentrated in the north and had little or no interest in the south.contrary to your earlier statement, the northern region had 174 seats out of 312 meanwhile you claimed that the south had more seats. You claimed 1999 and 1959 elections were the best.it means there was little or no rigging.how does that help your cause? We are talking about the most rigged States or inflates states so we analysed the most rigged elections to arrive at that.in data analysis and statistics, the highest numbers or predominant figures wins so if we assume that 1959 and 1993 proved your point of northern rigging,2003,2007,2011 and even 2015 proved my points of southern rigging.you produced two examples,I produced 4 so I win you...its that simple.when the country was in a rigging galore, the south inflated figures more.therefore, the south(ss and se)... |

Oga, your lies don dey tire me o. Where did you see 174 seats in the screenshot. The NPC got 134 seats bros while the south had 154 seats. I put screenshot there and you still refused to look at it. Na wa o. NCNC had over 2m votes. AG 1.99m while NPC had 1.92m. That your claim is also a lie. Apart from NCNC, both AG and NPC concentrated in their respective regions. And NPC was the dominant party in the north. NCNC had more influence in SW and SE than the north so the votes are not as mixed as you seek to paint it. Now, see how you looked at the whole matter from a very strange angle. Have you thought about the fact that if a region has less votes when elections are fair and then during rigged elections, it suddenly has more votes than the other regions, how can you say that region has rigged less than others that ordinarily have more votes than it. That's very illogical. |

You are the liar here spreading illogical datas and tales.you dropped a screenshot which I carefully scrutinized but you refused to look at mine that is why you lost your way.your table is incomplete,it only has the total votes by parties and votes.it doesn't have the total seats and votes polled by each party in all the zones.it doesn't even have the total number of seats available in each region.mine does. If you carefully look at the table I posted, you will see that NPC only won seats in the north alone.the ag won 25 seats in the north, less than 20 in the eastern region.the ncnc won 11 seats in the north and a combination of other parties like the igala and igbira union won 5 seats totalling 174 seats available in the north.you erroneously believed that they arw only 134 seats in the north which the NPC won... Voter turnout in the 1993 elections was 37% yet balloned to 69%in 2003 and turnout in ss and se was over 70% yet never exceeded 60% in the north.even though the south had about 400k more votes in the 1993 polls, the nw and ne had 4.5 million votes while the ss and se produced 4 million votes which is consistent with my facts.but the ss and se now leapfrogged the nw and ne from 2003.how do you explain that? No matter what you bring, the facta won't change.the ss are my people,I know what we can do.leave this matter... Finally, my argument was never about a north to south dichotomy on rigging but ne/nw vs se/ss.as you can see,I never mentioned the north central.whenever I mentioned the south west,I said they were the zone with the best elections.I will now add the north central as the second best.so remove the south west from your 1993 and 1959 analysis.it is only when you want to mention the total parliamentary seats in 1959 that you can add them which even the north has more. Once the again,ss and se leads in rigging followed by nw and ne |
