Who told you the number the bandits used to call you...was their real number? Remember the recent kidnap case in Abuja where the kidnappers demanded payment in bitcoin? They traced the number...to a random hawker in one of the markets. When questioned, the guy said one random woman bought his sim. Of course...he could not describe the woman..and he had never met her before in his life...nor did he see her again. For all we know, them bandits have lots of such numbers...stolen, registered by proxies, or bought...and use their real numbers for non-criminal activities. Modified A better alternative would be to track the bandits via triangulation off the nearest mobile antenna. Also, let's be honest. Our police gets 2 billion dollars to police 200 million people. NYPD of the USA gets 10 billion dollars to police 25 million people. Nigeria needs to change the way we run our economy to earn enough to fund our law enforcement adequately. Modified 2 This post is not a defence of the government. Read the bolded to see why it isn't. It is also not a defence of Fulanis, an attack on Biafra, or OODUA, or in service to imperailists. Modified 3 You can disagree with me without abuse, or without wishing death or calling me names, or making implications that i am 'dull'. In responding to you, I will not use abuse, or insult you. Thank you and do have a good day. 67 Likes 6 Shares |

When it comes to bandits the weapons and instruments to track their location stop working.... But the same instruments will be activated to arrest peaceful protesters and agitators... 147 Likes 12 Shares |

OkpaNsukkaisBae: But they could track MNK to Kenya and get him arrested. It's obvious the government and northern governors know who these bandits are. The pampering is toomuch. 67 Likes 2 Shares |

So people actually thought that the Nin-sim linkage was to tackle terrorists? Lol. When Pantami was linked to terror? Oga o. Wake up and smell the coffee. The terror is in ur Govt and they don't care about you until you try to break free from their grasp by demanding for secession. 32 Likes 2 Shares |

Beancounter93:did the hawker reported the sim card in a police station? What gave the assurance that the hawker is an ordinary person? Sim-nin can't do anything, that's the whole truth 14 Likes 1 Share |

The government of the day is not interested in tracking or monitoring anything that has to do with bandits and their flourishing business activities in the North. SIM-NIN linkage is only active when tracing people challenging Buhari's inadequacies Even If they hide in a basement. 12 Likes 1 Share |

IITTA50: The hawker sold his sim card to a woman who asked him to sell it to her...a woman he did not know at all. At no point did he know what the card would be used for, until the cops came knocking. And we need a database of some sorts. That's why SIM-NIN linkage is important. Infact, one reason why we need the linkage...people were buying pre-registered SIMS(essentially one guy can buy 50 sims, register them in his name, and then sell them on to individuals who don't want to wait in line for SIM registraiton)...which can make it dififcult to track kidnappers and bandits...who would buy such sims. |

They are generating revenue for their ogas and you think nigeriyan poliz can apprehend them? They are simply slave trading as was their usual custom before civilization reached them. The only difference is they sell the captives back to their loved ones to the highest price. See the solution to this problem is simple let the air force begin non stop patrol of the air of hotspots and document locations based on heat signatures, then send ground troops to investigate ... And any bandit caught should be cut open and his organs harvested on the spot . Then use the organs to donate to Nigerians on the waiting list for free.. we will have no shortage of organs to save lives. I forgot it's a government of bandits and bandits of government era. Wetin remain nah to watch and pray till 2023. 2 Likes |

Here is a simple way to track kidnappers Stop the sale of pre-registered and pre-linked SIMS Restrict everyone to one to five SIMS for mobile networks only Arrest anyone who sells his SIM Bandits would be forced to use their real numbers....and be easily tracked. |

Another enviable milestone achieved by the buhari led administration. Little wonder, Isa pantami and his abuja boss insisted on their fraudulent SIM-NIN linkage. In Isa pantami's words "I am happy, glad and get uncontrollable er*ection when infidels are murdered in cold blood, their women/wives raped, their children slaughtered.., etc," |

I have said it, that NIN policy is for harassing law and abiding citizens, even a secondary school student would know it’s useless for bandits, kidnapper and Bokoharam. Because it’s the victim phone they will use to request for ransom...Simple Useless failed country... 4 Likes 1 Share |
