This is very on point, we really need to start looking at this from statistical point of view, I think some people are under the delusion that racism will someday disappear, and if we are honest, we know it never will. Progress will be determined by reduction in number of people expressing these views, the general thinking seems to be that since it still happens, progress haven't been made and that is not true.

like you said 1% population are minority, but if we just say "oh, i have seen people insulting Rashford on twitter today, Britians are racists". We are not looking at the issue objectively.

Like Raumdeuter said online anonymity gives some kind of cover to the perpetrators, it's possible for one racist to open multiple accounts and bombard Rashford with these comment, 100 racists doing that will seem like a large population on social media.

I hope we can learn to be more objective when this issue comes up, if we keep looking at this from emotional perspective, the issues will merely be aggravated.

Horjberg was easily TOT top 3 performers last season, look at his overall season stats, if you think he failed, then you are merely suffering from intellectual dishonesty.

There are many redundant players in TOT, and Horjberg is not one of them. No objective person will take Jorginho over Hojberg, that guy is a complete package, not one trick pony like J5.

My take is there will always be a minority of racists in any country at any time, whether that's 1% or 3% or 5%. That's why we have minority far-right groups like BNP, National Front, English Defence League and so on. As long as they stay minority, it is never a problem as they don't affect the policies of the societies we live in.

Given that these people are there, they are bound to show up on Social media. Have we counted how many racist messages were received by Rashford and co? Is it material enough for black people in the UK to make it a central theme of discuss over the last week, or is it in line with a minority population which we know exist and can never be eradicated completely. The issue for me from a statistical point of view is in some of the Watsapp videos I've seen labelling Britain a racist society because a minute number of people decided to abuse Rashford and co. Why don't we just put this down to Social Media giving everyone a voice, including the 1% of Nazis we already know exist among us?

I don't watch city games unless they are playing chelsea or another big team and I can tell you that sterling isn't a player that I panic when he is on the team sheet, there are players that when they aren't playing, you get excited that your chances of winning are higher, sterling isn't one, for city, only aguero and KDB had that effect
