Nothing wrong with Christianity, it’s the way it’s being practiced. Christianity is an act of knowing and communicating with God through Jesus Christ. How do you know and communicate with God?
- By studying the scriptures daily
- By being prayerful
- By doing what is right.
Now let me elaborate on the third point which is doing what is right. Since we are not perfect in the sight of God due to the fall of Man(because He said according to scripture that our imperfection is like a filthy rag) this is why God recognized the government on a societal scale of life, He called them the god on earth. The government are to create a system to checkmate and curtail human excesses which in return help to reduce our wrong doings.

Number 1 and 2 points are to guide our inner man.

Christianity is a relationship with God through Christ. The act of practicing it among the people where there is a head make christianity become a religion. But unfortunately people are being taking advantage of in Nigeria due to their state of mind; they lack confidence due to the environment, most people goes to church looking for miracle and breakthrough, whereas we are supposed to go to church because we love God and want to know Him more. Why I bring in the government to make my point is because of what is happening in Nigeria today, the government failed the people so “men of God” took advantage of the situation involuntarily.

I'm from that church, born and raised.

I'm not a christian so I dont owe them any allegiance, but quite frankly I dont see what the church did wrong .

That church makes a lot of capital investment into their infrastructure and they don't do the parish model that you have in redeemed, at least not in Naija. Sunday services are broadcast from HQ in Otta to their satellite buildings in Lagos, so there's nothing like 'area congregation'. I dont know if they still do it, but I know back in the day the Church used to run a full fleet of buses to transport members to church for free from all across Lagos.

There are two kinds of pastors in that church, volunteers and fulltime. If you want to preach for the love of God without being paid for it, you can attend WOFBI, be ordained as a pastor and be able to preach at different winners services without collecting a dime. That one is between you and God. However, if you're on a salary then you are being paid to meet certain obligations and if you dont meet them, you MUST be sacked. It's not manna from heaven that is paying your salary, it's church income, and they must be able to deploy their capital with maximum efficiency.

If you accept to collect salary from a church as a pastor, then you must accept a quota of souls to be converted to the brand. If you dont meet up then geddifok and go and open your own slow growing church.
