That is to say if Britain demands that Nnamdi Kanu be released to them Nigeria can baulk and nothing will happen? Because Nigeria in the past under Obasanjo and Buhari has handled Britain before.

Is that what you're saying?

I repeat, there is nothing Britain can do, and they wont even stick out their neck for someone like Kanu. He is a naturalised citizen in UK and a Nigerian by birth. Nigeria even has more claim over Kanu than Britain.

Nigeria has more leverage over UK than UK has over Nigeria. Lot of UK companies are operating in Nigeria, how many Nigeria companies can you find in the UK. UK wont do anything unreasonable over Kanu, he is a goner.

Kanu should even be afraid not to be stripped of his UK citizenship if a case of terrorism is established against him

I bought one toothpaste one day, I found it was made in China for a British company. Nigeria has 200 milion people. That's a damn good market for consumer products.

onuman:

Self deception is terribly bad. If not business of supply of crude oil and gas from the Niger Delta, what else do you think will make Britain have economic interest in Nigeria? Fulani cows? Avoid self deception.

How many Made in GB products do you find in Nigeria’s market? How many of Nigeria’s consumers can afford products made in Britain? By the way, Britain no longer emphasize on manufacturing, it is on distribution businesses mainly.
I have to go to China to buy goods distributed in GB but made in China.

Even iPhone outsourced its production to China @ some point. Advanced economies outsource mostly because of labour costs.

If you recall how I began, I said in the wake of Brexit. There were already some products from British companies being sold here and now, they'll need to expand their reach to economies outside of the EU because they are no longer part of the EU. And Nigeria is a potential target.

Also, market driven businesses make products their target consumers can afford. Reckitt, PZ and Unilever are all British businesses. That they are here doesn't invalidate that fact.

Unfortunately, the real world does not work like that.

Just because you announce on radio or TV that you renounce your citizenship does not mean any thing.

Below is the process of renouncing your citizenship (according to section 29 of the constitution) and guess what? The president still has to approve of it else, you remain a Nigerian

Interesting

Lol.. u are posting someone's theory

In Nigeria, for any international Law to be binding, it must not be contrary to the constitution and must be domesticated in the Nigerian laws by the federal legislature..

Google the right thing
Yes I'm copying somebody's theorem but that person is a professor of international law and none of us can argue with him.

Countries bigger than Nigeria has been sanctioned in the past by International Organizations for breaking international treaties. Let's just wait and see how it unfolds.
As a point of note, I'm not Igbo. I'm just a fed up Nigerian totally in support of anything or anybody that can break up the entities of this shithole.

U are running away from it
Does our supreme court judgement extend to Kenya
It's a simple yes or no

He who comes to equity must come with clean hands
It's an international issue
Nigeria has lost this case already if the Brit come on board
You judge you case where the crime is committed. My friend don't mention the brit they will not stand for kanu that is the reality. What is their prime minister statement since kanu was arrested-NON

Kanu is not a dual citizen. But even if he is, the main point is that Nigeria has committed an international crime that must be investigated.

They kidnapped a UK passport bearer in a foreign land

And the prime minister of British kept quiet. My bro stop lamentation. Kanu will be tried in Nigeria if convicted he will be jailed. British don't have his time.

A UK minister has just issued a statement. Nigeria must explain how Kanu was abducted.
The matter has been taken up a notch. Malami and co are in trouble

Not Britain.
Rendition is a serious breach of International law and is being frowned at by Amnesty International and all other International Organizations.
The transfer of Nnamdi Kanu did not involve repatriation which would have ensured that international treaties were respected.

MNK left Nigeria illegally, he was brought back illegally, case closed.

He has a Nigerian birth certificate. Citizenship by birth is the strong of all citizenships. This is the only citizenship that can never be withdrawn. It doesn't matter the passport he was travelling with.

Secondly, crimes against national security are never tolerated by any nation. Even if he was an american by birth, the Nigerian govt would still arrest him and not will happen. The UK govt knows that's why they are powerless.
He has a Biafran birth certificate. Fact.
