I will make this straight.

My dad is a politician was getting money, went to expensive private uni.

Graduated decided to learn a skill I loved, learnt animation, I make 400k monthly on low sales and over 800k monthly before covid, after 6 months of working I've made more than 7 million. I bought some things, not something serious, then I kept squandering my money. I still live in my parent's house, which I don't feel like moving out of because I'm living like a king, I have a parlour of my own, my room toilet kitchen etc. Even in my dad's house I have had, fridge I live like a bachelor, but I eat their food. I can't boast of 200 k savings every month. I squander all. I have a babe, my parents feel she is the cause, but I know she isn't. How can I save? I want to always spend and spend till I go broke, then I will start killing myself to work and earn again. Same routine. Please advice me

I don't know if it's a real story butt here is my advice:
Only spend what's left after saving ( investing" cuz it's better to invest than save )
Always set goals
Buy what is need and not what you want
To add more
You have an advantage since you're under your parents house, eating their food and not married. Once you leave there it'd hit you hard if you spend lavishly so better use this opportunity.

Peace.

thanks boss. Actually, I freelance and I charge 1000$ for 1mins of animation on Fiverr, upwork and toptal. I have the advantage of living in my dads house but yet, I spend lavishly. For example I made 800$ last month, but I can only boast of 150$ out of 800$ it seems immediately I get money, I go to clubs, start buying expensive things.

well, I have nothing to prove to you. I get paid in dollars, and for your information, I even earn small compared to what my peers in the same freelance group of animations earn.. Try and educate yourself

Broke people always see themselves in everybody. Someone says what he is going through and all you can do is argue blindly, forgetting that everyone isn't and will never be like you. Instead of negating what you don't know, why not seek information about it(animation for example) to contain your ignorance?
Don't ever generalize your limitation

My dear brother @OP, I think the major issue with you is lack of responsibility and thereby resulting to misplaced priority..

Abraham, Moses,Jesus, to mention a few, left their father's house/comfort zones. Why not follow their footsteps? Because by so doing, it will teach you how to manage your cost and spending( it is obvious you spend heavily on frivolities)..

You spend recklessly because you're in your father's house and you always know that your source of income will always answer whenever you call. But please bear in mind that nothing lasts for ever..

Start planning now, buy shares, invest in real estate, build your own house.. There are a lot of things you would do now that you will enjoy or suffer from later..

No more insufficient fund my brother. Shalom!!!

Try to open a CD account (certificate of deposit) with any bank in Nigeria you won't be able to touch the money for a certain period of time which can be 6months or a year or more
With that you'd be able to lock your money away and can't spend even when tempted to do so

thanks. I have had this conversation with my dad so many times about moving out, and he keeps begging me and acting as if I move out then he won't be happy. He says I am the first son, I need to stay and look out for the properties in the house, also that I have self com blah blah. The truth is, kike I said I live comfortable in my father house, like, any girl can visit me and even sleep for days in my house, either with them knowing or not knowing, because it is a self con etc.

thank you for this. With the constant devaluation of naira, I don't think I will ever have mind to exchange my $ to naira and keep in a bank. Can I open a dollar CD account?

If you really want to change, then change..

We humans sometime, consciously or subconsciously enjoy what we complain of/about...
