IDENNAA:

[s]Why not ? He was the man who transformed Anambra from squalor to a top flying state and made Obiano governor ? Who is Obiano without Obi....without Obi you wouldn't have known Obiano. [/s]

We will name 75 billion savings after Obi. That is what he claimed as his only achievement after 8 years. I have always advised you to stop taking drugs else you wont even nurture the thought of bringing the failed Obi to this conversation. Since he made Obiano why couldn't he also make Obaze and now the Ozigbo guy?

The Anambra Airport must be named after Willie Obiano. No other human being deserves that honor.

[s]You continue to showcase more of your ignorance and empty boastful nature which is why rather than address the issues raised you point to other stupid Nigerians of which there are many. I said and I will repeat that no normal airport is built and put into operation in less than 2 years and this airport will not be ready before 2022 at the earliest.

Obiano of course is the master of cutting corners and I await all the problems that will arise from fast tracking a project which he is desperate to showcase as his achievement after 8 years of waste and failure. The irony is that he wants to complete an airport in less time than much simpler projects like the township stadium and conference center which as of almost ending July remain far from complete. [/s]

Onuku, why are you adjusting to 2022. You are right, this is not your normal Nigerian airport and thats why the feat is historic. Besides you said the airport would be abandoned in no time so shut your mouth and eat your humble pie. Whether its ready 2022, 2023 etc doesnt matter anymore for your information, what matters is all the critical infrastructure for the airport has been put in place by Obiano and we will ensure the airport is named after him in order to keep his name in your mouth and mind forever. keep crying.

Seeing the huge amount of wealth on display during the burial ceremony of the matriach of the Iyiegbu family, it got me thinking of the possibilities of having a concerted approach to pooling individual resources into a state development fund. I don't know why this hasn't been done already, and it's one of the reasons i want someone like Soludo to emerge as the next governor of the state.

Investors could buy into a infrastructure development coy by way of shares acquisition.....and this will be thrown open for ALL Anambrans both at home and in the diaspora to invest.

They could aim for at least $500 million a year for the 8 year tenure of Soludo, and the $4 billion dollars (or more) raised could go into targeted areas that would serve as catalysts for rapid development of its economy.

Federal government is doing everything possible for Soludo not to be a candidate in this election, if Anambra state citizens did not come out to protest against this wicked of FG what happened in Imo state will happen to Anambra state.

Exactly what I expect every Igbo governor to do. Float an infrastructure company and let the people buy share and let it be managed like Transcorp. I bet you Alaigbo will turn to a haven of DECENT development.
So many Ndigbo in diaspora are looking for where to invest and can't just do it in the economic murky waters as it stands today in Nigeria.

You pple have resumed dragging the innocent airport on this thread.

Anambra elections is around the corner and our outmost interest should be having a governor of the pple not an effigy imposed by anybody on us. A clear warning should start going out in print on the disastrous consequence of imposing anybody on the indigenes of the state. Let us choose our governor ourselves without intruders. Anambra no be IMO state...Nuff said

I wonder who is the mumu. You with the usual Nigerian empty bravado full of ignorance or me with facts?

FYI the whole concept over Cargo airport is a rubbish excuse to dump money in umueri. NLagos doesn't register much air cargo so who is anambra? Secondly, passenger traffic is only profitable for airports with international traffic not Nigerias poor domestic airport revenue. Only two airports are profitable in Nigeria Lagos MMIA and Abuja airport. The rest are all money losers living on government largesse.

Anambra does not need an airport and when the hype dies down the cardinal truth of this will be revealed. Lagos, Ogun with population of almost 30m people do just fine with the Lagos airport but in the same land area with 1/4 of the economy there are four small airports in Owerri Enugu, Asaba and now Umueri. All started with the whole cargo bullshat. All are losing money and can't maintain infrastructure without running to fgn for help.

Did you say lagos doesn't register much cargo?

You are so dumb.. Jeez

No you are the dumb one. Another empty headed Nigerian. For your information Nigeria ranks low on air freight #81 in the world far below South Africa, Kenya, Egypt, Morocco, Zambia and even Rwanda:

Enugu the closest airport to Anambra has tiny air cargo far below Lagos, Kano, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

Anambra international airport is gonna be the busiest airport in Nigeria aside Abuja and Lagos.
