If Igbo cannot get presidency in Nigeria, they can always represent Nigeria in sports. |

Henri8:You guys clearly are "dragging" not just him, but others as well Glory Patrick for example is from RIVERS STATE. SHE IS NOT IGBO, but you guys just count everyone that doesn't bear Yoruba or Hausa name as Igbo WHY? As a general rule if you see a Nigerian with 2 English names just assume the person is from South south. That's the most likely scenerio we met the English and Portuguese since 16th century and as a result our ancestors as in Great great grandfather's had European names if I tell you my last name you will not believe I am from Rivers state and we bear names like London George, George is surname, Violet Horsefall, Jack Finecountry, fyneface is also a last name and so on go on Facebook and see for yourself all of these people are most from River state, Bayelsa and Delta. So like I said If you see someone with 2 English names the chances are the person is from South south and not necessarily Igbo I have not met an Igbo person who doesn't have atleast one Igbo name. NEVER. I'm sure there maybe 1 or 2 such people but it is extremely rare. Instead it is Yorubas that are likely to also bear 2 English or 2 non Native names especially due to the slave trade and returnee slaves to Lagos, badagry and all that, I have actually met yorubas with 2 non native names but they are not as much as South south. Stop using non Igbos to hype Igbo, the guy claimed the list is made up of 12 Igbos whereas he added South southerners to pad it up. Thinking we will not notice. |

Still blame my brother Zik & Ironsi for this mess of a contree. Imagine if they had listened to Awo. Southern Nigeria as a country would have sent more reps to this Olympics. And there is no way they won't come back with lots and lots of medals. I know for sure that the prep would have been top notch because the facilities will be there. Just look at. Just remove SE and SW from the list. How many athletes did Nigeria send?? |

Aboki no get power for sports. No wonder they left sports for the southerners while the military and political powers were stylishly hijacked by the northerners.. #common sense |

Ibkhaleel: You are nothing but a self absorbed, lying, narcissistic fellow. You are so full of confusion and hate. I hope you don't eventually kill yourself with bile because I know your family still needs you. Ha! When it comes to the fabrication of lies, you are a master. We all know your fears. You don't want Nigeria to be divided. Because I don't know how Kanu and Igboho crept into this conversation when we were talking about athletes. Are they athletes too? You keep coming up with lies and grandiose imaginations about the North here on nairaland but reality presents something else to everyone. Stop all these image laundering. Its not helping you. There has never been any person who is stinkingly rich from the North who has not benefited from public funding and shady deals with people at the helms of affaits be it a Southerner or Northerner. We all know the monopoly that Dangote enjoys. Your students enter higher institutions with ridiculously low marks while Southern students are destroyed with high cut off marks. In the same Nigeria. Yet they still strive to make it and be something in life. See, don't get me started or I will expose the high injustice you f00ls have been perpetrating in Nigeria. |

Igbojihadist:Where you see 40 abeg? Easy with the lie bro, you for kuku say all Naija's reps to the Olympics are Igbos. I counted 27. If I'm wrong it can't be with the exception of just 2 more. There are Deltans and Akwa-Cross in the team, alongside a handful of Yorubas. |
