Sport is sport what do you mean by "real sports"? You must be an illiterate, just because you don't like some sports or it isn't popular in your demography doesn't mean it is not sport.

Igbo only dominate the basketball team while Yoruba dominate badminton, boxing and tennis even the swimming team .

Fear God na. This list below has no basketball

If Igbo cannot get presidency in Nigeria, they can always represent Nigeria in sports.

No one is dragging him.
You guys clearly are "dragging" not just him, but others as well Glory Patrick for example is from RIVERS STATE.

SHE IS NOT IGBO, but you guys just count everyone that doesn't bear Yoruba or Hausa name as Igbo WHY?

As a general rule if you see a Nigerian with 2 English names just assume the person is from South south. That's the most likely scenerio we met the English and Portuguese since 16th century and as a result our ancestors as in Great great grandfather's had European names if I tell you my last name you will not believe

I am from Rivers state and we bear names like London George, George is surname, Violet Horsefall, Jack Finecountry, fyneface is also a last name and so on go on Facebook and see for yourself all of these people are most from River state, Bayelsa and Delta.

So like I said If you see someone with 2 English names the chances are the person is from South south and not necessarily Igbo I have not met an Igbo person who doesn't have atleast one Igbo name. NEVER. I'm sure there maybe 1 or 2 such people but it is extremely rare.

Instead it is Yorubas that are likely to also bear 2 English or 2 non Native names especially due to the slave trade and returnee slaves to Lagos, badagry and all that, I have actually met yorubas with 2 non native names but they are not as much as South south.

Stop using non Igbos to hype Igbo, the guy claimed the list is made up of 12 Igbos whereas he added South southerners to pad it up. Thinking we will not notice.

Still blame my brother Zik & Ironsi for this mess of a contree. Imagine if they had listened to Awo. Southern Nigeria as a country would have sent more reps to this Olympics. And there is no way they won't come back with lots and lots of medals. I know for sure that the prep would have been top notch because the facilities will be there.
Just look at. Just remove SE and SW from the list. How many athletes did Nigeria send??

Guy you see the problem with you guys is that you are programed fools...

Your attitude is disgusting

A major problem the South has is how it underestimates the North. Their minders have led a majority of them to believe that the northerner is an unschooled slowpoke who only progresses through connections. Despite northerners that became billionaires by dint of hard work, intellectuals that have pushed the frontiers of scholarship, leaders that have provided impeccable administrations to great applause and politicians that rose like the colossus to dominate their environments, the average southerner still gets bamboozled – and envious – by the way the northerner dictates what goes where.
But a pertinent question to ask is, why do people kick against federal character yet want a position zoned, rotated or surrendered to them? If they are as intelligent and educated as they think they are, then they should know that politics is all about bridge-building, consensus and give and take.
However, in their confusion, despite their belief in the superiority of their intelligence, they take Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho as heroes. Some even believe they are comparable to Sheikh Gumi. A Methodist Bishop ridiculously said that he will stand by Kanu as long as “northerners stand by Pantami and Gumi”. A known southern columnist, too, wrote on how Kanu and Igboho were arrested while Gumi “had a slap on the wrist.”
What they refuse to accept is the fact that Kanu is a terrorist in the class of Shekau. A fugitive from justice having jumped bail while standing trial in a court of competent jurisdiction. He instigated people to kill through electronic messages the way Shekau did. He calls for the Balkanisation of the country. Perhaps being a second-class British citizen, he sees Nigeria as a “zoo” and Nigerians as animals. His gullible followers, Nigerians through and through, accept being animals in a country that is a zoo.
Maybe because most of his followers are those frustrated with their lives, they find solace in living in utopia. They claim they are Jews. Laughable as it was, with no historical or biological evidence to support the phantasmagoric claim, the real Jews did a DNA test to confirm their Jewishness that it is false.

You are nothing but a self absorbed, lying, narcissistic fellow. You are so full of confusion and hate. I hope you don't eventually kill yourself with bile because I know your family still needs you.

Ha! When it comes to the fabrication of lies, you are a master. We all know your fears. You don't want Nigeria to be divided. Because I don't know how Kanu and Igboho crept into this conversation when we were talking about athletes. Are they athletes too? You keep coming up with lies and grandiose imaginations about the North here on nairaland but reality presents something else to everyone. Stop all these image laundering. Its not helping you. There has never been any person who is stinkingly rich from the North who has not benefited from public funding and shady deals with people at the helms of affaits be it a Southerner or Northerner. We all know the monopoly that Dangote enjoys. Your students enter higher institutions with ridiculously low marks while Southern students are destroyed with high cut off marks. In the same Nigeria. Yet they still strive to make it and be something in life. See, don't get me started or I will expose the high injustice you f00ls have been perpetrating in Nigeria.

Where you see 40 abeg? Easy with the lie bro, you for kuku say all Naija's reps to the Olympics are Igbos.

I counted 27. If I'm wrong it can't be with the exception of just 2 more.

There are Deltans and Akwa-Cross in the team, alongside a handful of Yorubas.

If without our always present football teams ( 46 ) , we remain at 60 it means we have opportunity to surpass , most our Athletics team couldn't make it ooo .
