Tell them you cannot start again, ask to be rescheduled instead, they canceled on you for an urgent appointment. We deserve a reschedule at least.

What about those who's interview is on Thursday.

Please keep in mind that classes do not begin until September 1, 2021 so you should not request an emergency Consulate appointment before August 15, 2021. If you have not yet heard back from the US Consulate about your emergency appointment please do not be alarmed as they are working with a very a high backlog and it is almost certain that you will not be granted an emergency appointment before August 15, 2021 or even a response.

Let me be sincere with you. The date issue in Nigeria is handled by the Nigerians who work with the embassy. I started to suspect this rubbish stuff when they removed date from the right side screen. (Note My another country account still shows it). The Nigeria time manager just fix date as they like. (In my other country account, you will still get july because they follow it serially).

Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria.

Yes I was required to wear my mask all through. I wasn’t even asked to pull it down for recognition. No it did not muffle my speech as I was very loud and calm.

I literally just joined this thread cos I've been wondering if I am the only one yet to hear back from the Us embassy in Lagos for an expedited F1 visa request.
My school resumes August 19. I don't know if I made a mistake choosing Lagos o. If I cancel and reschedule for Abuja now, I don't know if I'll get a convenient date or a reply in time. I have called the embassy twice already and sent them emails, they keep saying they need more time to review my request and if it's approved or denied, they'll get back to me.
This is 13days and counting since I applied for the emergency request.
I don't know what to do
