I was discussing with a jw lady some months ago, we spoke over different subjects. I asked her, what if you are wrong? I admitted several that I could be wrong and if I'm wrong, it's end game for me. However, what if you are wrong? She never, could not entertain the idea she could be wrong.

Yet, when you compare their believes then and today, it is unthinkable that a group guided by God's spirit to reach those conclusions and beliefs would discard them today.

Which begs the question, who really were the sources of this believes? Was it God, who cannot lie and his spirit would not lead people to errors or was it men who came up with doctrines and cover them with the cloud of divine guidance so that it would be accepted without resistance?

The implications of these are far reaching. If what had believed by the JWs of that time can be discarded in the excuse of New light, its evident it had no divine guidance, what assurances do you have that the believes you hold so dear today will not be discarded in the future?

To get answers, it requires critical thinking which Emusan is trying stir in Nezero mind. This is the crux of the matter, this is what Emusan is trying to get across.
