Are TRV applicant allowed to submit their passport at any VFS office worldwide??

Hi,

For passport transmission, Abuja is still the best in Nigeria. Between one to two weeks, you will get your stamped passport. I noticed from my GCMS notes ordered after arriving in Canada that my TRV for student was affixed in Abuja despite sending through the Lagos VFS. So there is a chance most/all passports end up in Abuja after all.

Have you made any efforts to "regularize" your kids' status since you arrived? I reckon they need some form of records in addition to their US passport to avoid issue of overstay in future.

Can you enlighten us what you have learned about this or maybe conduct some research on it and be sure all is good about their current and future status?

Kids were stamped in till December which is when my passport expires, same as me, so am not sure there's anything to regularize. I am currently trying to apply for an extension of all our study permits, both mine and kids . I am hoping it comes out b4 hubby leaves for Nig so once he shows them at POE, they can give him an extended stay and not stamp him in till Dec as well. Our fingers are crossed as to how long TRV they will give him: 5yrs+ based on a new passport he got that we sent to them via webform and which he submitted today, or till Dec asper date of expiration of my own permit. Even with the December date, they realise my course is for 2yrs, so will that be taken into consideration? I guess at this point we can only speculate, so best to wait and see how it all plays out.

Documents I enclosed with my letter of invitation:
 Bio data page of my international passport,
 Evidence of previous visas and stamps in passport,
 Canadian Temporary Resident Visa (TRV),
 Evidence of commencement of process to renew my international passport as a prerequisite to applying for an extension of my study permit,
 A copy of the children’s USA international passports + birth certf,
 Unconditional letter of acceptance
 Letter of enrolment + school timetable,
 Study permits both for myself and the children,
 Evidence of payment of tuition for both 1st and 2nd term + account summary from Fanshawe web advisor,
 Marriage certificate + name change documents,
 Evidence of daughter’s enrolment in school,
 Family pictures (several pics pasted on a word document telling our story from how we met, when we got married, when kids came, the Canadian journey, us at the airport saying goodbyes, touch down in Canada, vals day celebrated in diaspora, daughter in school, screen munch of video calls,

Hubby also renewed his intl passport and forwarded to them via webform a week ago I believe.

1. I just got my study visa approved and should be traveling by mid September. My final destination is Saint John via Toronto. I’m not vaccinated yet, will my quarantine plan be in Toronto or Saint John?

2. Am about to apply for my wife who is currently in the US for SOWP, due to the processing time in Nigeria, can she apply from there and get her biometrics and medical done there? Has anyone done this before?

2. My daughter is 1year plus 3 months and she is an American citizen. I understand that there is no need to apply for her since she can travel as a visitor with her passport. Is this correct?

1. By the law, your quarantine place is ANYWHERE you first touched down when entering Canada; so in this case, you must first quarantine in Toronto before proceeding on your journey. They monitor your movements well.

2. Yes, your wife should do everything over there in the US; almost free and she may not likely require the medical stuff. I was exempted then.

3. Your baby can easily shuttle between US and Canada just with her US passport alone, she no get problem at all! All those ones na chair already. Lol
