HOnestly I dont understand all this bruhaha over the UK. The UK law specifically states that the UK cannot help you if you are a dual national in the country of your dual nationality. It even used to be printed at the back of the old Uk passport.

Travelling abroad

As a dual national you cannot get diplomatic help from the British government when you are in the other country where you hold citizenship.
