Why don't you guys apply directly for PNPs? A friend of mine with CRS 537 got Manitoba advice to apply, that was in June or so. There is no guarantee FSW will resume anytime soon, plus even if it does you will still get ITA. Plus Expression of interest in PNPs is absolutely free.

I would like to apply directly but I haven’t found any PNP stream that is accepting applications with my occupations

503 is almost sure when FSW draws resume..... but in the spirit of having a plan B, what is your CRS with French as your first language?

If you have IELTS money to spare and $1,500 for OINP, then consider retaking IELTS to get a lower CLB in order to be between 458 and 467 (go to the CRS grid on page 1 to reconfirm and work out the maths, if putting French as your first language doesn't get you within the range). OINP are likely to have a French Speakers draw in September, they had in Jan, Mar, May & July.

Also have you checked if your NOCs are in demand in Sasks, they announced extra points for French. PEI and NB also seem to give extra points for French.

I’ll try the IeLTs route or I’ll remove my hubby’s masters and English test results from the application to see if it will get me with Range. Thank you for the suggestion

people have used it. It caused delays in some people’s applications including mine. The first officer did not understand it and sent it for review. Delaying my application for 4 months. 25% of total RSA can be used, get a reference letter from the RSA. My advice to you if you can avoid it please do if you don't mind potential delays.

thank you so much

@tannystacey. Your advice really touched me,
My immigration journey is still far from where I am going. I am not in the PNP neither am I in any pool.
I am just writing my IELTS this Aug and I wouldn't want anything that will cause a delay for me in terms of funds during the journey.
God is my fortress and my refuge, I want to start putting what I can sell on sale on time and save before the issue of Proof of Funds comes up.
I have some valuables to replace with cash if they are sold or bought. A gift deed is not forthcoming around me. That is why I have come to meet you my E-family here to help me out.

Thank you. I appreciate

tannystacey:

Where on this immigration journey are you? Have you been invited to apply through the PNP route? Or are you still in the pool waiting for a draw?

Selling all you have to raise funds is not such a great idea and you risk being shortchanged or defrauded by selling your house hurriedly out of desperation. Canada is not heaven o.

Immigration needs to be planned. Please look for family members who can give gift deeds or something. Don't lose all you have. This immigration thing requires a lot of patience.

My advice to others in the pool, start saving now or have a backup plan for funds.

Then selling your things is not a wise idea. There is a process. You only need funds when you have been in the pool and gotten invite either through pnp or FSW. That could take another 6 months or even more. Hustle and raise money gradually towards that.

Have you evaluated your degrees with WES? Thats d first step. Then read and pass (max out) IELTS. Some pple do it 3 or 4 times b4 getting desired scores. Then create a profile and enter the pool. You dont need to sell your house b4 doing all these things.

There are pple in this thread who have been invited since last year and are still waiting to finalize process. If they have sold houses they probably would be stressed and exhausted by now.
Canada does not owe us o. Its a privilege to have an opportunity to immigrate. Dont drink garri because u want to go abroad. Pray, plan and have a lot of patience.
Best of luck

Can one use gift deed as POF for MPNP?

nymphomaniac:
SIX (6) where you claim it is your own money. If it isn’t, then do a gift deed to explain the source of the funds from your family

It is actually sad that you have to reduce your score to qualify for PNP seeing that your score is super high. The PNP itself isn't even guaranteed when you are in the range. As far as my knowledge goes, it's 50/50.

The fact that Canada aren't giving any updates on FSW resumption is devastating. Even if it is December, let people know so they can make plans ahead or go with their other options.

But what if you do so and there is a FSW draw? If I was you, if have just waited patiently... but of course you decide.

Nice one! This Canada thing shouldn't be taken for granted. I know someone who sold put all her properties as soon as she got ITA, but since then she hasn't gotten PPR... yet; it's been 3 years or so. Let's live our lives, no one should wait for Canada.

Selling property after ITA not even PPR. That’s not a smart move regardless of the timeline of other applicants at that moment , the person didn’t seek advise from others at all.

Merci ma chère. Vous avez raison, mais c’est difficile quand même. I’ll drink the cup of patience and just wait. It’s always darkest before the storm. Let’s count down to the opening of borders in September. Hopefully FSW will resume then
Est-ce que tu as appris la langue pour le FSW ou tu savais déjà comment parler?

I’ve decided to wait at least till September when the next OINP draw will hold because possibly FSW will restart by then. If it doesn’t then I’ll reduce score

It’s super sad honestly, especially considering all the work put it to get here. Waiting isn’t a problem if only people had specific timelines to wait for instead of all the uncertainty .

No close friends, no family members, no study visa and yet to be in the express entry pool. How will it be possible I transfer the money am saving for my POF in RBC? I'm over 30 and will be self sponsoring. Will be entry the pool soon but considering study as an alternative. Do you think 10m naira will be enough as POF? I run a small business that is not officially registered and I wouldn't know if using my father's property as tiers because I can tell him to make me signatories to his company account. He has a registered company that has been working for over 15yrs, well taxed but little work force. He has one house building, two landed properties and a rented apartment where the company's operate from. Will be glad if you can analyze this for me

Magnifique! J'entends souvent que les gens sont en train d'apprendre la langue pour le FSW, mais je n'ai jamais vu quelqu'un qui l'a fait. C'est vraiment difficile de se lancer dans une nouvelle langue, quelle qu'en soit la raison. Bon! Tu y es arrivé. Tu es à quel niveau?

@tannystacey you are the best.
May God forgive me for the fear of the unknown.
God's magnificence is beyond people's imagination. I believe so much in God. He can miraculously provide in any way.
I know this topic will help a lot of people with this fear of the unknown about how best to raise funds.
At times, fear grips me just to raise funds that may show up in the process as I do not know the total amount I am looking at.
Your comments here had sharpened up the blunt edges in me.
Thank you, friend.
YES I have done the WES evaluation process.
