I don’t believe this is a straight case of insulting the president or anyone. Whatever the case is, he had his day in court and pleaded guilty.. PDP, his party was the first one to find him guilty by suspending him from the party. That alone set precedent for how the guy would be treated by others.

Sometimes I wonder if the youths that support Buhari do it just to pepper Buhari critics or they are really serious about it.
How can a citizen be sentenced to jail for abusing anyone be they the president, a senator or a king.
In America a citizen insults the president and he is not even arrested talkless of being jailed. It is counted as his opinion on the affairs of his nation. Freedom of speech covers that. They say their mind openly even on TV.
