Biodun556: Is it a Borno man that is stealing the money meant for projects in the state..... Nigeria will be taken serious when we start holding leaders responsible.... forget about Buhari in Aso rock... your councilors, LG chairman and state house of assembly members live among you but they haven’t been held accountable 1 Like |

Biodun556: Absolutely right. Nigeria will need a change of its Constitution to limit the power that Governors have. It does not really matter how good a President we have. If you have a terrible, corrupt Governor (like most of them are), your state will not get anywhere. State fund allocations are completely at the mercy of the Governor, who knows they have almost complete immunity from the Constitution. If this does not change, pictures like the ones posted will very likely never go away. |

FreeIgbos:In your mind you have made sense with this your bias writeup. 1) From time immemorial Yorubas always have political leaders like Awolowo and others and that is what is giving them an edge over your people politically. The highest position your so called factionised leaders can reach is vp. which the likes of Ekwueme, Ebitu Ukiwe occupied. 2) You guys normally re-write history to favour your shady course. Awolowo never chickened out of any agreement, he forsee the effect of civil war and he warned ya brother against starting a war he cannot finish because the Northern soldiers in the west are too many and this will endanger the lives of his people. 3) The famous human right activitists like Gani Fawehinmi, Beko Ransom Kuti families that always fight injustices in Nigeria are they ibos? 4)You wrote that Yorubas used to cover up for their own. Is Kemi Adeosun former finance minister who resigned because of NYSC certificate scandal not a Yoruba woman again? 3 Likes |

Biodun556: Indeed and also on ordinary Nigerians and communities. I’ve asked this question before, what prevents the teachers, parents and community of this school getting together to build benches and desks – even if they must use blocks, why not find and lay down good blocks in a systemic way. What prevents them working on the school, sweeping up, fixing roofs, painting and so on? They could still have images and videos of the former deplorable state of the school for use to score political points. They can show the government and the world what they did to fix the school and still complain how government does not help them. What prevents Nigerians doing charity for their fellow Nigerians, there is a video of an Igbo woman than dose charity for schools in Ghana and yet she lives in Nigeria. 1 Like 1 Share |
