Why don't you wait until he becomes a world class before giving him the crown already.

Do you know he can fail as well.

He has been average so far yet you still eulogise him ahead of people who don't have talent but excelling so far

Outright payment =£68m

Spreading d payment =£88m.

That is exactly what Sevilla is demanding....

So I ask agn..does he worth it
that's where zouma comes in, that balloon is only providing vibes at the club, if we sell him for 30m, add 20m to that, you get 50m, we can open negotiations with that, kounde is 22 and he is a serious upgrade for us, have you looked at our backline, they are all aging, rudigar is 28 and he is above average, he will age poorly as defender, Christensen is average, silva is old, Cesar is 31, we don't have any long term prospects there, our attack might be young but defenders are essential too, I want to see academy players make a name for themselves but i'm not judging chobalah like mount by saying that he isnt good enough, I watched him alot today, I liked his movement and decisiveness, all i'm saying is that we shouldn't place the future of the club on his back, cause when the pressure starts, you guys will start dragging him here and kounde will be taking another top team to the next level

chalolah hasn't really been tested, transfer
windows closes in 2 weeks, we have dominated possession in the games that we have played so far, if we stop pushing for kounde because we are 2nd guessing and someone else gets him and chalolah turns out to be another empty confidence filled performer, we would be short in that position and it will hinder our chances of winning the league, if we push for kounde and chalolah comes good, then we have 2 solid defenders long term, something we have been lacking for a long time, I don't know why you people are worried about the finances, Chelsea as a football club has never been sustainably profitable, forget all the net spend hype, we need to build our brand to increase our commercial revenue, players like kounde with world class qualities are needed to achieve that

Please don't go into finances as it seems obvious you have not been tracking the club's financial results over 2 decades.

To the main matter....we are not going to win or lose the league over the decision or not to buy a 22-year-old defender from the Spanish League. Let's chill a bit. It's not like we are buying Ricardo Carvalho in his prime.

Say what you like about Kounde, he also remains untested in the PL and there is nothing to suggest that he might not find it difficult. What then?

We are not asking for Chalobah to lead us to the league title. We are just saying if it means Chalobah going on loan just so we can get an untested 22-year PL defender for nearly £70m, then Chalobah stays; especially when he's shown that he has the talent, determination, poise and temperament to fit in and do a job.

Stupid comments don't count. You dare not say this when RLC was balling under Sarri, when he was having his best season at 23.

What happened to RLC? For those of you that don't know, when RLC injured his Achilles, his left calf halved in size. He was reported at the time to have torn his Achilles so badly, it was like a horse tail. Even The Athletic carried this story at the time.

Talking about calves halving its size, I know exactly what RLC is going through as on the 10th Aug, 2014, I broke my Fibular in 3 places and ruptured my Posterior and Anterior Talofibular ligaments during a 5-aside game. After coming off a cast post 6 months, I lost 70% of the size of my left calf muscle. 7 years later, it's still only about 60% of its full size pre-injury and I cannot run for more than 60m at full speed without serious pain.

I bet you RLC has still not grown the calf back to normal size, as it's about the most difficult muscle to grow at will. Also consider that the calf is about the most important muscle for top performances for an athlete, and you start to understand what he is going through. I have lived this experience.

So you can sit behind your keyboard, make dill comments, not apply logic and call people crap without having a clue of what these guys have to go through physically and mentally to overcome an injury, and then get back to form.

I'm still very unapologetic concerning what I said on RLC, but make no mistake, it doesn't mean I am not sympathetic on his injury. Chelsea football club is not a nursing home for us to wait for seven years for him to get to at least 60%fitness. There are number of clubs without ambition such as assnal that can tolerate such lengthly period for him to get to full form. It's been years since we won the league, we need all players in full form for us to have any chance at the title .RLC should go elsewhere and be recuperating not Chelsea.

Your opinion is clear and to some extent beneficial but the problem here is the amount Sevilla wants.

Having chalobar as well as kounde is perfect but financially isn't too nice cos he is not worth £68m at all

I think Chelsea requested his service using zouma as a yardstick and the deal fell just cos of what Sevilla demanded.

In all..I don't think any cup is tied on the acquisition of kounde.so it can slide if Sevilla seems to be too stubborn..

Now you have completely lost focus of your own argument. No one is asking for him to stay at Chelsea and recuperate. The reason for my post and the injection on my own life experience (which I see you taking a jab at), was to illustrate the difficulty involved sometimes in players getting back to form.

The overall point was to make you have second thoughts when you ignore the lasting effects of injuries on players, and call them crap and grade B players, especially when that person had previously been performing very well at top level.

RLC may eventually have to leave Chelsea to revive his career (even I an ardent fan is resigned to this); let's just take a moment to understand why they may have fallen from grace.

I apologise on the bolded if you thought I ever took a jab. When playing a 3 man defence, nothing is better than having a CB who has played midfield and has the technique to step out with the ball.

In a 3 man defence, your defenders often find themselves in midfield and are all supposed to be ancillary midfielders and should have the highest touches and highest no of passes in the team. That's why Zouma doesn't fit that system.

And that's why Chalobah is good to go!

Kolo Toure still chopping money as part of Brendan Rodgers coaching team.

When you comport yourself well as a senior player and show leadership as Toure did with Brendan at Liverpool and Celtic, you will get opportunities to extend your earning cycle in football.

This right here sir!

And then there's James, Zouma, Sarr in the squad, yet he gets another 90 minutes after 120 minutes mid week.

Indeed he has impressed Tuchel.
Sarr way never get shirt number. I said it before that Chalobah will likely stay with the squad and we forget we lost Guehi and Tomori. Sarr will likely go on loan, don't see him staying, he was good and I thought he would push for that LCB with Rudiger but Chalobah has been better.

Chat should keep it up

and you believe that, when the same Sevilla accepted 55m for him from Tottenham.

The one story I do believe is that Chelsea want to sell off players first and Sevilla wants to find a replacement. All this nonsense click bait of what Sevilla is asking for is rubbish. Firstly they don't want full cash because a portion of the cash will go to another club. The highest or lastest Chelsea offered was 30m + Zouma, of which the deal didn't go through because of Zouma.

Abraham to Roma for €40m + €5m in add on

Then a buy back clause of €80m active from 2023, when Abraham would be 25, a stronger and better striker

Good money for Tammy.

Good money for Tammy indeed. That's £34m for Tammy, £20m for Guehi, £5m Livramento and £1.7m for Giroud and probably £5m to £10m for Batshuayi and we can say it's been a very good window.

That's about £67m income from player sales.....making £30m net spend on Lukaku, after a Champions League winning season.

Happy days!
