If Nigeria does 1/100 of what America did in Afghanistan and Iraq, Nigeria will no longer be in existence and some Nigerians still want America to be the policeman of the world. Why don't Nigeria be policemen of West Africa for one year and they will find out that the financial crunch will make Nigeria go out of existence in less than 5 years. America spent over $2 Trillion which is American tax payers money and some peoole are not satisfied and these are people who do not contribute a Quarter to America's economy. What about human costs ?. Do the lives of those young Americans count. They are dying for people who have been killing each other for generations. benalvino3: Berghdal was a US soldier who defected to Taliban .They captured him. To secure his release atleast 6 US soldiers died when looking for him. while he was in captivity the Taliban attack got more deadly because they knew the tactics of ISAF. Obama negotiated for his release. Taliban freed him in return for 5 top Taliban commanders in Guantamo. Obama also negotiated for an Iran hostage in return for 400m in cold hard cash. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

benalvino3: 1.Sorry for misidentifying your country...(even I myself am no American. Never been there self) 2.Even if Biden pulled out in a very very orderly way...all the Taliban has to do is wait very patiently till the US troops are all out..and then move in. The surprise here is that the US trained army is not putting up much of a fight. The US was here before. In 1973, they signed a peace deal to pull out of Vietnam, thinking their trained South Vietnamese Army would do the job of kicking out the communists in their place. The North just waited till the US was out, then with aid from their Soviet allies curbstomped the Southern Army. (At least the South fought for 2 years) The minute the US announced they were thinking of leaving at some time in the distant past...all the Taliban had to do was wait. I'm not a fan of Biden, or of trump, but this mess was handed over to them and there was nothing much they could do, short of announcing that the US was going to stay for another hundred years to civilize the savages. 2 Likes 1 Share |

PrideofLincoln1:Liberia and Sudan did not have rabid hatred for Nigeria. Liberia and Sudan did not harbour Islamic fundamentalists that can plan and carry out attacks on Nigeria. Liberia and Sudan did not have an agenda to spread Islam and sharia all around world. Nigeria did not invade Liberia and Sudan, we went there on peace keeping mission to stop the country into degenerating into chaos. They never considered Nigeria as an enemy. Let's see how these pan out 10 years from now. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Biden said in July that it was “not inevitable” the Taliban would take over Afghanistan as the U.S. publicly withdrawals. The likelihood there’s going to be the Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country is highly unlikely, This is what happens when your Army General is more concern on spreading CRT than winning wars. 2 Likes |

Beancounter94: You don't know this. See what trump had to say. Biden just pulled out the troops without giving it any thought. Joe Biden gets it wrong every time on foreign policy, and many other issues. Everyone knew he couldn’t handle the pressure. Even Obama’s Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, said as much. He ran out of Afghanistan instead of following the plan our Administration left for him — a plan that protected our people and our property, and ensured the Taliban would never dream of taking our Embassy or providing a base for new attacks against America. The withdrawal would be guided by facts on the ground. 3 Likes 1 Share |

basilico: Biden, and even Trump before he left office could see that after Osama was killed, there were 2 choices in Afghanistan 1.Leave the country.(and risk the Taliban taking over) 2.Stay in the country and run it like the Romans used to run their territories, brutally if there is any oppsition (and risk making the Taliban more popular, plus another brutal revolt) Biden is taking option 1. It is the less bad of two bad options. Option 2 would have cost far more lives and property. It took the Ancient Romans over 100 years to properly subdue the land of Palestine to the point where there was no revolt and no threat...and eventually it involved them exiling thousands of people, and forcefully bringing in settlers. You can call Biden incompetent, and maybe more interested in LGBT than global stability, but at some point the US would have had to leave Afghanistan. Whoever took over was up to the Afghans themselves..and it seems most of them have voted for the Taliban. Including the Army whose life they were supposed to save. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

wirinet:BS i say. Do you know how many countries have rabid hatred for America. So we should occupy all the countries that have rabid hatred for Americans starting from Iran, Yemen, Afganistan, North Korea and many others. Don't fret because we Americans ain't scared of any country because we have Military and Financial wherewithal to deal with our enemies. America is not afraid of any terrorist groups and if they kill one American, hundreds if not thousands of their people will have untimely meeting with their makers. You can best your last $ on that statement. Semper Fi, Always ready. 1 Like |
