He's getting a goal or assist this evening.

Kayode wins penalty. BOOOM.

Penalty missed. Rebound scored. In my head, he gets that assist.

Nwaekeme scores off a Azubuike clearance. Very poor DM.

Subbed off at 53 mins. Poor outing.

What the ffuck does "very poor DM" mean ? It's ok to say he had a bad game but to call him very poor DM is petty and unnecessary. The same Nwakali who is balling today was also called names and condemned by posters here to fail....but mmadu-aburo-chukwu.

Kelechi Iheanacho was also supposed to be a failure but look at Nacho, today. It not in question Zubby has the talent to play at the very top but things doesn't always work the way we plan it. If you ever been through a phase in your life where you are doing your best and putting in all the work but for some unclear reasons your efforts aren't paying off and people are mocking you and calling you are a failure then you would understand....I have been through these experience. Zubby is nigerian boy who is doing his best and we must support him. We know how long it took Awoniyi to find his feet.

Apologies. Was just a bad day in the office.

I wish Zubby could leave Turkey and try somewhere else. Honestly , the boy is the most complete Nigerian midfield commander I could think of but he is very unlucky.

The boy can play 10
Play DM
Play centrally
And still never get tired....beautiful player to watch.

How about goalie incase what happened in the Madrid match over the weekend happens. Can he also play no. 9 incase Osimehn attempts to donate slap to another opponent?

Wow..wow..wow.
We have a midfielder with these qualities and he has not been invited to the team? What is going on,they should bring him to strengthen the team.

This is quite interesting because that player I saw was just sheer brute and low footballing IQ.
Relied too much on body strength rather than astute tactical ability.

Positioning was okay at times, but made poor decisions when he had the ball.

For a DM who was supposed to protect his backline, he gave the ball away too cheaply.

In consideration, this might just be a bad day in the office, but having a hand in both goals that your team concede is not good for his CV.

I appreciate your opinions, but let's see who's misleading who.

Let's use the case of Iheanacho.

In the early embers of June 2020, when Kelechi was languishing in the back benches of the Leicester squad,
I made the statistical interpretation that Iheanacho needed just more gametime to flourish as one of the league's best.
But just like you both, the great Sir komekn rubbished this as " delusional and convolated manipulation of statistics."

Now 14 months later, ask yourself: Is Iheanacho a convoluted manipulation of stats? Or was he a diamond in the rough waiting to bloom?

Now tally your response to Henry Onyekuru.

You like stats. True?

You're reiterating my stance, all right, brother: Goal per game alone is not indicative of quality at all.

Paco Alcacer had one of the best goal ratio at Dortmund, where is he today?

When assessing quality, you have to marry different characteristics to arrive at a conclusive analysis.

This was the case with Iheanacho.
A combination of his goal per game rate, link-up play, conversion rate, ability under pressure, aeriel prowess, ball control... brought me to the conclusion that he was better than his return showed, not just one stat.

But most importantly, I watched him live because not every feature (like movement) goes on paper.

For the case of Onyekuru, I never said he is the best winger ever. No. Someone opined that Victor Moses was Nigeria's most productive or efficient winger of all time.

But statistics show that, Onyekuru takes that accolade by a long mile.

Nice one.

Victor Osimhen needs to confront his DARK SIDE.
There are 2 Osimhens one light, one dark. "The LIGHT OSIMHEN is exceptionally considerate, a team player, generous spirit"
The dark Osimhen can be angry, vindictive, ill- tempered, mean- spirited. Both sides are constantly at war with one another in him.  ( Victor Osimhen greatest fear is the thought of being weak)over the years he as succeeded to accentuate his strengths and develop new ones. He became tough, resilient, fierce. But his WEAKNESS has not been dealt with and it will not miraculously dissappear. If it's not dealt with, its presence sinks into the unconscious, into the shadows of the personality waiting to come out in strange ways. It becomes the DARK SIDE. With Osimhen, whenever he experiences anxiety, these dark side would stir from deep within in form of sudden outburst and tantrums, with powerful desires to harm those he believed had crossed him on the field of play.
Osimhen tells people that he doesn't care what people think of him- the opposite of the truth.
Victor osimhen should look within and measure the darker sides to his character.

I agree he is quite unique. But I believe he is more Salah than Mane.

Although similar movements and pace. He lacks the dribbling ability, technique, weak foot proficiency and long-range shooting that has made Mane what he is today.

Like Salah, he is one-footed and prefers dribbling on the run while Mane prefers man to man. He also has very similar attacking aggression with the former. Even with this, Onyekuru plays way closer to goal than orthodox wingers. Like a second striker.

In fact, I think the only player we have who plays like Mane is Ebere Eze, yet he is still far behind.
Ebere Eze is more of a playmaker than Mane. If anything, I think he's a bit similar to Grealish than Mane.
Onyekuru is your typical scoring wide forward...similar to peak Ahmed Musa.

You are 100% on point. Let's call a spade a spade because we all know Osimhen has a little bit of temper issue. He deserved a red card and he needed that incident to learn some professional lesson.
Yeah, thank God we agree on something. Osimhen was clearly on a revenge mission there. I don't know why people can't see the difference between a push and an attack.

Osimhen better stop being reactive else racists will make meat out of him. They love people like him. People that easily react.

The video clearly showed he pushed his opponent. That was a football move with no other intention. At worst u give a freekick and carry on with things. I just posted a video here with Luis Suarez doing the same thing prior to a goal. No excuse can make that situation right.
Someone did a very slow motion of the foul and Osimhen hand was clearly trying to strike his face. Normal street football action. But the guy overreacted and caught the referee's attention immidiately, or the referee caught it spot on. This is professional soccer. VAR cannot overrule it because Osimhen went for his face actually, whether he intended it to go there or not I don't know. Dem no push somebody for face. Going for another players face will grant you an automated red card with police to carry you out if you still want to argue.

TBH, I'm disappointed in Osimhen. He has serious potential and this stage there are few things he should be avoiding already.
