Antalyaspor have rejected an offer of 2.5m from Anderlecht for Paul Mukairu, where he was on loan last season.

Mukairu was the best dribbler in Belgium last campaign. Antalyaspor have vowed to give him a key role this year.

Paul Mukairu is moving to England. The last team in the Championships, Nottingham Forrest, have finished discussions with club and player. Done deal.

Henry Onyekuru

Defensively , calmness( Aina is lackadaisical and mistakes prone) , better passer of the ball. Aina is better going forward which is not really his primary duty.

They play at different positions and i am sure you just want to look for way to diss aina because that has always been your way

As a RB where he has played for the eagles as a makeshift, he aint better than aina.

Maja - back injury. It is clear that both parties wants to move on. Bordeaux want to cash in, Maja is homesick.

Josh Maja no longer injured. But not expected to play for Bordeaux until window closes.

West Ham in serious negotiations with Bordeaux for loan with obligation to buy. He is the cheapest option in their sight.

I repeat very wrong, change your narrative bro
Lol. I too do not fancy players from Turkey and it's for a very honest reason.

When Turkish based players made up the bulk of our National team, we were not moving forward.

Not a nice move to me. Why not promotion chasing championship club. Well guess those ones didn't show interest.

Nigeria is not on UK red list for COVID-19. Why would clubs hold on to players when they/we are on Amber list. The clubs unequivocal said "Red list".

Hopefully we'll have a good crop of our players

Random thoughts:

I'm still in awe about how Belgium assembled a Golden generation within a decade. Pre-2014, Belgium rubbing shoulders with the creme de la creme of football wasn't even a figment of anyone's imaginations.

I believe a player's passing accuracy should be an important consideration for invitation.

We really do not know how to defend.

Yep, it's officially "official"

Premier League clubs unanimously decide not to release players for international matches in red-list countries next month

Premier League clubs have today reluctantly but unanimously decided not to release players for international matches played in red-list countries next month.

The clubs' decision, which is strongly supported by the Premier League, will apply to nearly 60 players from 19 Premier League clubs who are due to travel to 26 red-list countries in the September international window.

This follows FIFA’s current position not to extend its temporary release exception for players required to quarantine on their return from international duty.

Extensive discussions have taken place with both The FA and the Government to find a solution, but due to ongoing public health concerns relating to incoming travellers from red-list countries, no exemption has been granted.

If required to quarantine on return from red list countries, not only would players’ welfare and fitness be significantly impacted, but they would also be unavailable to prepare for and play in two Premier League match rounds, a UEFA club competition matchday and the third round of the EFL Cup.

This period takes into consideration 10 days of hotel quarantine on return to England but does not include any additional time that would be required for players to regain match fitness.

"Quarantine requirements mean that players’ welfare and fitness will be significantly impacted" - Richard Masters, Premier League CEO

Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters said: “Premier League clubs have always supported their players’ desires to represent their countries – this is a matter of pride for all concerned. However, clubs have reluctantly but rightly come to the conclusion that it would be entirely unreasonable to release players under these new circumstances.
"Quarantine requirements mean that players’ welfare and fitness will be significantly impacted. We understand the challenges that exist in the international match calendar and remain open to workable solutions."

Clubs also discussed their dissatisfaction with FIFA’s decision to extend CONMEBOL’s international window by two days in September and October from nine to 11 days.

This places additional international obligations on players from that region, to the detriment of their availability to represent their clubs.

FIFA was urged to work with all stakeholders to ensure an agreeable conclusion can be reached on the issue.

They are not that bad. A couple g league guys, a few Europe based and our naija boys. They have a chance to make a name for themselves too.

Well, u are right... They might spring a surprise.. But countries like Tunisia, Angola and Egypt are there with stronger squads too...
Anyway, with the European season and NBA starting soon,it wasn't going to be possible to get the best players ready ...

Rohr was planning a list of 24 for the Liberia and Cape Verde games.

Now he would need a bigger list. The PL players called up will only execute the Liberia game.

Time for Rohr to call up some new players.

No Ndidi, No Onyeka, No Etebo, No Iwobi.

That's almost our entire Midfield ruled out of the Cape Verde tie.

Only Aribo could make it unless SPFL follows suit.

Now Rohr must call up new Midfield ballers. We watch and see.

Also, No Iheanacho, No Ekong, No recall for Dennis. We can cope without these lads. We have the cover for Ekong. And we are stacked in attack.

Rohr... your move.

the championship has only played 4 games, if he joins them and improves their lot, the team either gets promoted or through the efforts he puts in, get a better club bidding for him. The onus lies on him to put in his best and better days will follow

Several players that can be used. In my opinion there's no point having two different sets of players execute the games. It would be costly and no time for the players to really gel and apply lessons from one game to the next. My recommendation is to get the new boy in Belgium Alhassan, extend invitations to Nwobodo and Zuby and as many guys as we can get from the non-EPL leagues. Maybe even Igbekeme, if Ndidi, Iwobi, Karo and Onyeka won't be available then we have to deal with it.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 7:43pm On Aug 24, 2021
It's likely gonna be an expanded list. Only that the EPL contingent will return to their clubsides since they would be out of the away tie.

We would need especially much more names in Midfield to cover for the absences of Ndidi, Onyeka, Etebo and Iwobi. That's DM, CM, and AM. Although Aribo is available for CM or even AM duties. Aribo will need two new Midfield partners.

That Cape Verde game isn't going to be easy... They are a tough side to play against...And their stadium is astro turf..it could affect our players...
