twinskenny: That would be true if customers are charged in kVA. But customers are charged in kW, so its irrelevant. The only downside is that you will need higher current to power same load when coiled than when not coiled. Because of increase current, more heat would also be generated in the enclosure. Even at that the coil would have to be substantial to cause much inductance at 50hz frequency. During lightening however, induced current can be very high in that length of wire and can increase potential for sensitive equipment damage. 5 Likes |

An acre of land is 4,046 square metres. This means that the perimeter of the land can be approximately calculated which will be used to get the estimate for the fencing. The cost will depend on some considerations: the nature of the soil, type of materials to be used for the perimeter fence - blocks, barb wire, wood etc, height of the fence and other factors. So, you should decide on this and also hint us on the nature of soil. Greenarrow01: |

michlins: Is this the way to go? Gbas gbos with your customer. Please find a way around this o. If it's possible retrieve the door and give her back her money. She asked for 3ft door, you should have given her exactly what she asked for, anything less is courting trouble. If you intended to remove some inches you should have let her know and not assuming for your customer. Learn to explain everything to your customer ab initio. The wahala with this door is already too much. 10 Likes |

Ggee:sir I am a vendor here and still I am human who deserves a respect. If you take offense with my response and feel ok with her statement, I don't know what to say about it. She gave me a measurement saying she wants 7ft by 3ft. I deducted 3" from the measurements for the plastering. How on earth is this fraud? Go anywhere, this is the industrial standard. It has been discussed extensively here. She's quick to bring screenshots here. Do you know what she has said to me over the phone and how she has insulted me. Even a slave deserve a better treatment 6 Likes |

The whole issue is coming from a point of strained relationship. Normally this shouldn't degenerate to this level. I kind of understand where the vendor is coming from, cos even if he supplied exactly 3ft, that extra 3" or thereabout will be lost in the plaster. He should have explained to the client. somehow: 3 Likes |

somehow:please sir, that's how doors are made. Even the prefabricated doors are smaller. Here's how it goes. A sheet of pan is 8ft and when divided by four gives you 2ft plus 3" of the pipes. That's 30" then you add frames which is usually 1.5" on both sides. That's a total of 33". This is the way it works. If you want to expand the size, you will have to add pipes in-between to increase it. These things are like this anywhere and everywhere 5 Likes 1 Share |
