Eh bros on the bold hope you know this is WC qualification we are talking about? We need all our best legs. Onyekuru should also come because of the injury worries we have to Simon and Kalu so we are a bit thin. Agree with the rest of your submission.

This is WC qualifiers alright, but not against Ivory Coast or South Africa. This is against Cape Verde and Liberia.

If an Osimhen-less Nigeria cannot get the job done against countries who combined have just one player in Europe's top five leagues, then that Nigeria doesn't deserve to make it to the biggest sports competition in history.

football is not like that, our opponents players have national team experience more than our players, forget where they play but they are not too bad. Their experience is one big advantage they have over our players.

Sorry bro but that is arrogant talk. Any team can't be any other team on a good day. Lessons from 2006 qualifiers when we thought 'ordinary Angola' would be a walkover thought us a bitter lesson. Cape Verde is very strong at home. In the past they have dealt with Cameroon and Tunisia so they are no easy flakes.

Players that shouldn't be invited for this round.

Bonke Innocent - Not ready yet.

Henry Onyekuru - Too few minutes. New club. No preseason.

Victor Osimhen - Needs to settle down. Club needs him more.

Kelechi Nwakali - Still unproven and undeserved. More potential than quality. Invite sends wrong message.

Amoo - Not ready yet for top level football.

Onyedika - Still too raw. Needs to improve.

Players that deserve an invite

Ejuke - Just invite him.

Nwobodo - Consistent player.

Alhassan Yusuf - Consistent and proven quality.

Innocent bonke is 25 years old and you are saying he is not ready yet ?

Come out with your full chest and say he is not good enough for you

And please Explain what you mean by not ready yet ?

And yes nwobodo is not that bad .

English Championships is the best second tier in world football.

Offers more visibility than most top leagues.

Ebere Eze, Olle Watkins, Benrhama, Oliver Skipp, Leeds United, Pukki. All proof that quality here means quality in a bigger league.

If he can strive in a struggling club, then the bigger clubs will take notice.

At 21, Nottingham Forrest is a small pond for him. He now needs to be a big fish.

English championship might be the best 2nd division but all these players you mentioned are just average players ,I was expecting you to call world class players like varane from ligue 2 and Veratti from seria B grin

Joking oooo

Which top league championship offers more visibility than ?

Mister, the midfield talents are there but Rohr chooses to keep ignoring them. He invited an Abraham Marcus from Portuguese 2nd tier to come play Midfield for us. A lad who plays predominantly as a Winger or Second striker for his club, Feirense and you are here saying "if Rohr thinks any of them is our solution bla bla bla....."

Was Marcus Abraham a solution?? Why did Rohr invite him then??

You and Rohr obviously share one thing in common. No further words needed. Keep capping rubbish in his defense.

I dont know what isan meant we aren't producing enough midfielders. Rohr had consistently ignored some emerging players that could have succeeded much sooner with little help from our national team. If they were foreign born he would have featured them , market them and encourage European clubs to buy them. He made sure Onyekuru was almost frustrated out.
He invited Agu and Tijani but chose to start Ajayi in MD....thats wicked and stifling. He made sure Agu nevee got a clear chance to show what ge got but would invite a clubless Musa and Shehu whom have no noticeable impact.
Nwakali could have been invited a long time ago and use SE to encourage and market him...afterall he is a Naija groomed talent with abundance gift of football. In a time when we needed creativity in the team he left Nwakali to rot and be forgotten....this is a boy that lifted the U17 cup for us and won the MVP.

Long ago Belgium has been a safe haven for Nigeria footballers

Amokachi played there same time he was playing hard for the super eagles

Osaze did same too
Ndidi did same too

And many other players besides super eagles players like KVB,Kompany,Lukaku,Lolomba currently doing well in Arsenal is from there. The Belgian league have always been a developmental league 60-80% of talents from there always blossom when they go elsewhere but for a young player your moves matter more than the talent you possess

Henry case was because he pitched tenth with the wrong club...a player move can inhibit his career growth talents not enough. Henry has the talent but.he needs to do more

For Nwakali he has the talent even though i dont rate him,he only needs to do more

For Rohr, like i said he is very clueless. Nerdy is right

Cc. humility 33

Ok , every Nigerian football enthusiast knows that Nwakali is gifted but we also knows he needs more game time to sharpen his game. Now , you stated you don't rate him and may I know why ?

Cc. isan

Onyeka and Aribo are CM/DM . The Super Eagles need creativity in the middle.

Very important points here, brother, but I think you need to put this into perspective.

Osimhen is just one player here, and the possibility of a nation like Nigeria defeating minnows like Cape Verde shouldn't rest on the shoulders of one player.

He is undoubtedly our most productive player, but Osimhen was present the full 90 when we couldn't break down Benin (similar opponent with Verde) at their fortress, and required a last minute Onuachu winner.

This shows that tactical prowess of the coach, not individual brilliance is the key to unlocking opponents.

Therefore if Nigeria suddenly becomes toothless in the absence of a single player, they have no business at the World Cup. Denmark going the distance without Eriksen is testament to this, as the coach tweaked their formation to suit the team.

Secondly, no African country has the striking depth that Nigeria enjoys. For goodness sake, Onuachu was one of the world's highest goal scorers last season, while Terem Moffi, Simy and Umar Sadiq entered double figures in three different championships.

Is it until Osimhen is injured, that you work out a Plan B?

Thirdly, not inviting Osimhen for this does him more good than harm. The player is yet to settle in the Serie A yet, and can't risk adding an injury or covid-19 infection/isolation to his ban.

In the end, I admit that three games is a lot for a player of Osimhen's quality to miss, especially if the English based and Chukwueze aren't around.

But please, it should be a shame that at the brink of our golden generation, we are overly reliant on one player to get past lowly teams.

Just as every accused is innocent until proven guilty, every footballer is good until proven otherwise.

At 25-years of age, Bonke is yet to prove he is good, but is also yet to come out as a bad player, so he is not ready for the big time.

For a position like DM, which is usually the spine of a team and almost irreplaceable, Bonke is yet to make more than 11 starts in the past 4 years.

He is getting a consistent run of games at Malmo for the first time in his career.

He might be a good player, but he hasn't proven it, my good man.

Nerdie, we can't be absolutely sure Rohr did this very inclusion. We've seen repetitive proof that NFF do very much of selection over months now. But anyways.

Chief in an ideal world everything you wrote is valid but sometimes reality is way different to what you expected.

Nigeria is bigger than Osimhen and should be able to cope without him if for any reason he's unavailable but in football we all know that certain players being present in your team boosts the probability of your team winning on the day.

I don't need a soothsayer to tell me that Argentina and Barcelona before Messi's recent transfer will struggle to win games without the little magician. Likewise Salah for Egypt, Ronaldo for Portugal or Bruno Fernandez with Man U.

I'm happy you used the example of the away match against Benin. Remember it was Victor's attempt that rebounded for Onuachu to score. Osimhen constant pressure and harassment of the Benin defence contributed in no small measure to our victory that day. Emphirical evidence has also shown that with Osimhen we will most likely win so it makes no sense to leave out your biggest chance of victory when he's available.

Other players can also step up even when Victor is on the pitch. As a player won't you be inspired to perform when you have a great player alongside you? So bro for the upcoming games of this magnitude we can ill afford to be without Osimhen especially since our more experienced hands like Iwobi, Ndidi and Iheanacho will be missing the trip to Cape Verde.

It is because of Osimhen that Onuachu bagged that Winner in the first place. So he also had a big hand in the goal.

But you make a good point about us seeking to create an environment in the team where we are not entirely dependent on one player. This is not the first time this point would be raised and you aren't the first to do so. For years, this is what we on here have been after. A team still capable of delivering even when our entire first XI takes a rest. Quality Depth is what we advocate hence the calls for certain players that can add various unique qualities to the team thus giving us different tactical depths and more.

But for the upcoming WC Qualifiers game, we need Osimhen. Now is not the time to leave out your most prolific and most influential forward. That would be wrongly timed.
We can apply this "find his backup" strategy in other games.

Finally, this New Golden Generation talk have been mentioned here since 2015. I long foresaw and analysed the coming of days we are witnessing now alongside TheGoodjoe but sadly we have a Coach and an administration out to frustrate our efforts. It is well. This generation is still pregnant with Golden potentials.
