1Sharon:Jesus Christ never made it requirement that one first believe Him the Son of God or God in order to become a follower of His - that kind of knowing comes from a Revelation and not from hearing it said by others. |

Kobojunkie:Who was Paul? Saul metamorphosed to Paul. He was the founder of Christianity. The religion, Christianity has no history before Paul. This because Jesus who the Christians ascribed to as the founder was never himself a Christian. In fact, he doesn't know an earthly religion call Christianity exist. Jesus concerns and message were to bring back the Jew to the ford of Judaism. He throughout emphasized on fulfilment of the commandments of Moses, but not calling them to a new religion unknown to them and their forebears. After antagonizing Jesus and even supported his life persecution, an after-thought Saul repented to Paul and came up with incredible narrations how God (Jesus) inspired in him most of the Bible epistle. Yet, gullible ones accepted him and took his messages to where we are today. For instance, Jesus never referred to himself as God. But Paul convinced the left over disciples of Jesus to accept that Jesus was God. |

Kobojunkie: Tell that to his followers. By your logic atheists or Muslims can be Christians. |

gawu1:You need to pick up a Bible to read rather than spewing trash which you were obviously fed from listening to others... 1. Saul did not morph into Paul... Paul is simply the Greek translation of the name Saul. He did not found Christianity. 2. I suggest you actually pick up a Bible and read through the Gospels to learn about Jesus Christ and His teachings. 3. Again you need to pick up a Bible to read for yourself self rather than continue to regurgitate that which you have obviously been fed by others on this topic Look, ignorance is not bliss and since the Bible is the of source of information there is about Jesus Christ and His teachings, it becomes foolish to think you can make up whatever you want on this and not appear foolish. Pick up a Bible for yourself to read so you learn the facts from all the silly stories you continue to spew. 2 Likes 1 Share |

1Sharon:My first problem with your assertion is that one would need to abandon one's previous beliefs in order to become a follower of Jesus Christ- You cannot serve two masters and all. You can't hold on to other ideologies as a follower of Jesus Christ. So when you say a one can be both an atheist, or a Muslim, and a follower of Jesus Christ, there are already about 3 laws from the top of my head that red flag that claim. |

Kobojunkie: You just have to follow his teachings right? You don't need to say he's God or the son of God right? |
Re: Why Judaism Has More In Common With Islam Than Christianity by Kobojunkie: 4:18pm On Aug 30, 2021 |
1Sharon:His teaching states you cannot have two masters... you cannot be both an atheist, or a Muslim, and a Christian. Jesus Christ is sent by God - you cannot separate Him from God or the Kingdom of God. |

Kobojunkie: Ok forget atheism. Why can't a Muslim be a Christian by your logic, if they follow his teachings? |

Kobojunkie: What do they have to with anything? They just need to follow his teachings right? Since you want to say accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and saviour has nothing to do with it. 1 Like |

1Sharon:Again, to follow Jesus Christ means to Trust in and Obey His teachings. His teaching dictates that those who follow Him cannot serve two Masters. In the case of the Muslim, he not only serves a different master but also a different God. Jesus Christ is God's New Covenant Law, an agreement between God and individuals (not groups, nations or peoples). So accepting/trusting Him means same as submitting to thet terms and conditions of that Covenant/Contract and living ones life according the letter of of Law. |

1Sharon:Everything I have so far stated is a part of the teachings of Jesus Christ. So when you say that being a Christian is beyond following His teachings, you ofcourse loose me. |
Re: Why Judaism Has More In Common With Islam Than Christianity by 1Sharon(f): 5:02pm On Aug 30, 2021 |
Kobojunkie: You and I know that to be accepted as a Christian you need to believe Jesus is God or the son of God. Youre statements will be regarded as heretical in Christendom. |
Re: Why Judaism Has More In Common With Islam Than Christianity by Kobojunkie: 5:05pm On Aug 30, 2021 |
1Sharon:What part of the definition of the word "Christian" we have reviewed so far leads you to believing that acceptance by others is of any importance? This, again, according to Jesus Christ, the one who is the embodiment of the Covenant, is an agreement between God and individuals. |
