I think we should all be agreeing to condemn anything that is bad. Rather than trying to trivialize such issues with everyone else is like that now! When someone steals in 9ja and is caught, instead of condemning the wrongdoing, we respond with is he the only one stealing? Why didn't they catch the other thieves?
In summary, that pitch is bad, QED. The other ones we have played on in recent times too are not good either, Asaba, Benin etc. Hopefully we can get at least 2 world class and well maintained pitches in Nigeria, is that too much to ask?

Thank you.

i was expecting him to bring in Kingsley or bonke
May be our EPL stars will still play the next march,
because it does'n make any sense to feature a complete new midfield without testing em first.
But lets watch first

Aribo probably made the most through passes, only his runs couldn't get through Liberian defense. Ever since Aribo's goal run ended, you people say so many weird things every game he plays. He was very good today.
Calm down. No one is criticizing him, just stating the obvious. The potato field didn’t help.He struggled at the start of the game due to the state of the pitch and later picked up. He had a shot at goal that could’ve gone in, but the pitch didn’t help. He’s among the stand out players. Even Seniorman was anonymous in the first 10min.

No the pitch is not bad, that's grass for crying out loud, when heavy rain fall on grass, what did you expect,
And it's not as if it's a rain that fall over or two days ago, the rain actually fall heavily today, so what you trayna say

For those living in Lagos, we know the situation today in Lagos. Flood everywhere.

we are still underdeveloped and we will just continue to complain from the coach to the nff and everything, maybe when this nff tenure is over perhaps there can be hope but the present nff chairman is a celebrity and red carpet chairman who can never add value to what we ever had. For me the last time I enjoyed the eagles was in the days of keshi cos we saw players who were really hungry, the likes of the present nff chairman then was also lambasting keshi for his style of play but still what we play currently is still nothing to be compared to what keshi boys played despite being coached by an oyinbo. enough said

Wait till you see matches from other "underdeveloped" countries.

I'm watching the highlight now

There is this particular moment that captured my mind, we had a free kick in the first half and the moment the Ref blew the whistle, the Loberian player left the wall and came rushing for the ball

Is it that I'm misjudging the footage ne or the officiating was for street football out there?

So why was Teslim Balogun selected? Why was it not taken to Abuja, Uyo or Akure since all the pitches are the same.

When it comes to national team (SE) matches the NFF should not be giving us a pitch that is the same as all the other pitches everywhere else. They should give us the best.

They are putting home games to our disadvantage if they cannot give us a pitch that can help our boys play to their full potential.

This is a qualifier where goals difference and head to head can come back to hunt you if you didn't properly utilize your home advantage.

I am not in the position to disclose the reason or reasons behind the selection of Teslim Balogun over the aforementioned stadiums but all I know is there are no better fields. All na same as I type except you want to prove me wrong by showing me a better field.

All we need to ask for is for the upgrade of all the potential fields for qualifiers.

It rained heavily hence the nature of the pitch,
It wasn't the best but not bad as it was painted..
Did y'all watched yesterday match between 3sc and NK in Ibadan?
That's how a bad and waterlogged pitch looks like and teslim was far from it despite the floods and rains..

We can do better thoor

The field is way too poor for us to be using for qualifiers

I believe these pitches have mechanisms for draining some water and also the bad patches needs to be sorted all.

Have you ever seen an EPL pitch like that, no matter how much it rains?

Lets not even go far. South African league, have you ever seen a pitch like that?

A standard pitch is supposed to have horizontal regions with different shades of green. Did you see that in our pitch? Or does rain also make the entire pitch have the same shade of green?

How did the midfield suffer biko?? It's like when Nigerian fans are not spoon-fed with a lot of goals we just complain about everything.

Did you watch the game to the end? In the dying minutes it was clear that the midfield had tired out. Didn't you see that?

They don't work for grass pitches... We should be using hybrid pitches ..

Do you watch the EPL and Euro leagues? Rain no dey fall there? No be grass ne their pitches? Let's stop defending mediocrity. I agree we all see things differently and would have differing opinions but make we unite condemn anything wey no good.

Enyimba's pitch is better.. Just that the stadium and the city of Aba aren't fit enough to host the super eagles

I managed to go out before the rain and returned long after it rained. So, it didn’t affect me at all but some people missed appointment because of the heavy traffic.

The pitch try abeg. Upon the heavy rain, it didn’t turn to swimming pool like the 3SC pitch.

Na hand ball dem for play today inside woter. grin

Immediately the ref blew the whistle, the person playing the freekick passed to a nearby player. I think that was when the Liberian charged at him

Iheancho second goal was superb though his all round play needs to be worked on.

Seems to have better goal instincts than Osimhen.

How does the aba pitch look after sustained downpours? Someone posted a video of Leicester's pitch maintenance and I asked myself can we go through that rigor in 9ja. If not for the rain in Ibadan, we would have been thinking the Lekan Salami stadium is wonderful but the rain come disgrace the governor and contractor.

Mister man, that pitch was changed, from it artificial to natural grass, the type of grass and the kind of laying you do, will determine many things as per rainfall,

Now can you honestly tell me the Wembley stadia is any different,

The best part is the rain stop few hours to the game, yet the pitch is not waterlogged,

What more do you want

I was about preparing to go out when the rain intensifies, from that 7am, till around after one, it continues to rain,
It will reduce small, only to pick up again

That why many of us in Lagos dread the raining season, it spoil businesses

It was artificial sometimes ago. Is it grass now?

We can move the game to Aba. There will no space due to crowd.
