Thank you. I don't know why we're covering it up. This should be an avenue for people to speak up but like always we choose to remain silent. The issue of multiple results didn't just happen to him alone happened to several people even some of my friends and it's quite disheartening

I have never seen the boy and neither have you. This is a REPORTED story so in coming to conclusions one must be circumspect and make allowances for reporting errors , miscommunication and so on.
If his story is true then one might expect some emotional behavior.

What is important a as a genuine NEUTRAL is to be able to distil the issues

The issue is simple

THE STORY reports that he claims he got two results from JAMB.
JAMB claim that there was no communication from them about 380 . So the Onus is on him to provide evidence of that and this can be escalated via the Phone companies.
Even if JAMB sent him a result of 380 they are well within their rights to claim it was a mistake.
I have not heard any evidence that he was sent such a thing by JAMB

You don't even need further maths for any medical based course in Nigeria ,. whether at JAMB or WAEC...UNLESS you are doing biomedical engineering. Which is in itself engineering.

You don't even it need for engineering. It only helps when you are in year one but not a prerequisite to get admitted to any course even mathematics you don't need it. The reason I don't believe his story, because if he can give such an outrageous reason for not getting admitted.

It is not a complex issue

The other issue is if results "change " as you claim that is not a big deal. Mistakes happen and the terms and condition allow for retraction of erroneous results


A person who is smart enough to score 380 will certainly do so again and could go to court to either get the result reinstated or the opportunity to retake the exam under controlled conditions

The guy could have been grilled at home due to parental pressure to study medicine and when he realized people who are not as brilliant as he is are getting admission he forged his own to look higher because that's what people expect him to have. And when the lie caught on he couldn't control it anymore. It's possible it was his father who took the decision to sue without thinking. You can even see that his lawyer is begging for JAMB to investigate first. If he was so sure he won't be begging them.

Unfortunately he may just have ruined his chances in life with this stunt.

Anything goes in Nigeria. What may have changed his results overnight? These children are so desperate and can do anything. The father, being a lawyer should have done his own thorough investigations before embarking on prosecution.

During my university I knew one guy who in our final year was teaching others and running discussion groups...and he failed the final exam and had to resit/carry over, while others who were being taught by him passed...

I am sure that boy forged his results due to undue pressure from his parents and society. He inadvertently started a lie but unfortunately these days of social media a lie can have a life of its own and things quickly got out of hand from there.

The boy may have just ruined his life by this act.
