ELECTIVE COURSE: WHAT DOES IT MEAN IN NOUN? Briefly, elective courses are basically courses you can register according to preference and weight of your pocket per semester. Letter "E" stands for elective. In other words, any course you see letter "E" shows that it is an elective course. For instance, in NOUN the minimum elective course to register in a semester is one (1). The maximum number of "E" depends on your pocket, intellectual capacity, and choice. The opposite of elective course is compulsory course. In a nutshell, compulsory courses are those courses that are compulsory for students in a particular department to register in a semester. There are implications for not offering any elective course in a semester when you have them available among your courses to offer. To sum up, student portal, nouonline.net is open and active, get done your registration as soon as possible. MISHA CARES 09051481358 1 Share

Enskynelson:Hello, I’m running MSC mass communication and I’m in my second semester. The total course units are above 34 units required for graduation (from what I’ve gathered). Now, I failed one of the two electives I did last semester. I gathered from the thread that I didn’t need to register the carryover. I already did. Can I drop it? Also, there are no elective courses showing for this semester. Should I be worried? |
Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Enskynelson(m): 9:37am On Sep 04, 2021 |
Femipeter007:First, do a calculation to make sure you don't need the elective to meet up. Yes, you can drop course at the right time. No dropping of courses at the moment but hopefully as from next, be asking at your Study Centre |

kayuz40:Pick one out of the three. Check the course materials and past questions to guide you in your choice. |
