This VAT of a thing will finally expose and humble the north. They have been living at the mercy of the south for a long time but deceptively adding cow and camel population to their number to create a wrong impression that they are the majority. Breeze don blow 2 Likes |

Look, the constitution is the problem. All of these you have said cannot be done under the constitution that governs us. The constitution is a fraud and a pressure-cooker for injustice and we all have to shoot it down. PeaceJoyLove: |

Definitely, all the military grade weapons and ammunitions being paraded by the delusional fulani herdsmen for their nefarious activities are not gotten with the proceeds from cattle sales. Fiscal federalism is the way to go in order to teach these useless parasites some senses. We told you initially that Buhari, with his senseless nepotism, will wake up some very dangerous monsters in the bellies of southerners ! Some times ago, some fools blocked all the major routes - highways to the southern parts of the country in their futile attempt to " kill southerners with hunger",lol ! Who is now begging who ? Bunch of cows; you've not seen anything yet ! Without the wealth from the southern part of Nigeria, would the north have been different in anyway from the likes of Niger,Chad,Somalia etc ? From the very rich like politicians, emirs, corrupt military officers, etc to the very poor like the almajiris, all northerners depend on Nigeria for survival and that's a fact ! 2 Likes |

Buckeyemedia1: States can generate new sources of revenue they have not been exploring so far. Property tax, sales tax, road tolls, etc. If states implement tax collection aggressively, they can be self sufficient. |

iwaeda: But that's not true. State collecting will bring in more revenue to any state cos what goes to federal comes directly to the state. Then the state can now remit same on percentage to the federal. Northern governors need to open their economy and think. You can't be banning taxable products and service yet want the proceeds of what you consider crime |

The Gombe State Government has appealed to Southern State Governments to reconsider their push to keep Value Added Tax (VAT) generated from their states. There you have it. All that posturing and running your mouth that you are the economic engine of the country, are nothing but arrant nonsense. You FULANI ingrates and parasites have taken more than the indigenous people have come to realize. You stifle and destroy genuine and legitimate businesses that generate huge amounts of revenue with your stupid sharia law. And then you turn around and want to share in the revenues generated by the same type of businesses that you destroy in your state. Why NOT call on your ignorant and good for nothing hisbah police to make up the revenue difference? Why rely on the south? |

All man for himself, God for everybody..... If not for laziness and outright wickedness from these northern states, they all have natural resources they can develope to make money but they just sit down, fold their hands and wait for other states to work like elephants then they will appear to share .....roasted thunder fire them there |

So let me get this straight. You enact Shariah Laws, destroy alcoholic beverage businesses of southerners in your state but wants the same southerners to share their VAT from such businesses with you? Kano gets to keep 100% of its own contributions but Lagos, Rivers etc don’t even get 50% of theirs. Are these people even okay in the brain? 3 Likes |
