Angelfrost: Gbayi. It is the only way forward. States that cannot cope should merge with viable neighbouring States. Not by force to insist on being a State that even local government areas of Lagos are richer than. 4 Likes |

Knew they were going to pass the bill before this month runs out. Imagine what extra 400billion VAT money can help develop Lagos without Sanwo Olu going to kneel down to beg some greedy overentitled overrated clowns in Abuja? 3 Likes |

To me I find this a welcoming development. Atleast in few years time wailers will stop dragging federal government in all their tales of woe. Some governors are born thief and wicked I can only pray they used this VAT judiciously. Any state that's not performing hitherto will now have to work extra hard to lure local and foreign investors and also provide enabling environment for business to thrive in order to avoid becoming a failed state. |

Where can I buy cow for #2, I need like 10 of it to celebrate this good news By the way, is Lagos charging it’s VAT at 6%? I will advise states to reduce the 7.5% VAT to attract investors to their states, eg EDO 2 Likes |

RedEnergy:Buhari messing up left, right, centre like shithole! At the turn of the #ENDSARS protests that rocked Lagos, Sanwo-Olu went to him with photos of devastation in the aftermath of the protest, but Buhari (in his own admittance statement) was rude to the Governor of the most important state in the federation! He snubbed Sanwo-Olu and even sent him back to Lagosians with a spiteful message... Now, Lagos has responded! What will Buhari do? Ohun ti a fi ju omo lo, ama nfi han-an ni! 3 Likes |

The bills should be translated into local languages and distributed to the concerned. Proper sensitization should be carried out and not the one that the enforcers will us the opportunity to catch citizens unaware in their usual ways 1 Like |

omoharry: Lol.......and so it should be . Lagos is the smallest State in Nigeria Hosting 10% of the entire population of Nigeria to include those from States where Governors, since 1999, have done nothing but loot, Party, fly around in private jet and shop for latest models of the most luxurious cars available. Lagos needs every kobo it can get. Eko o ni baje. Lai lai. 2 Likes |

Angelfrost: Bro I am sick and tired of it. Every woke Nigerian now understands that "Federal Government" simply means lazy, underproductive, parasitic and Conservative folks, forever resistive to progressive change, holding the rest of us back and forcing us to live as they do. Imagine in this day and age, States with real capacity, like Lagos, not having 24/7 electricity simply because of being part of a "national power grid"? Madness !!! About time leaders in the South eschew cowardice to pursue the changes we voted them in to deliver. 3 Likes 1 Share |
