iwaeda: The Naira will keep on dropping as we borrow more. However this government is not bothered for the following reasons: 1) They themselves and their families are made. They have amassed great fortunes so they will be ok whatever happens. 2) Buhari's government is an ideologically driven government. Be it "fighting corruption" or "Consolidating Hausa/Fulani dominance" or "Establishment a Northern powerhouse economic zone including parts of Niger and parts of Cameroon" or "Crushing the Biafra problem" or "Indivisibility of Nigeria is non negotiable" or "Nigerianising the Fulani Herdsmen". All these are all ideologies for which a cost cannot be put be on. This government rates all these ideologies above economic growth and liberalisation. Therefore you might think the economy is failing so this government is losing, but they will feel that they are winning so long as their ideologies are being achieved like "crushing the Igbos" and "crushing Oduduwa agitations". 3) The general insecurity and hardship in the country plays into the hands of Buhari and his cabal. They can make the country so hot that elections will not hold and Buhari remains in power beyond 2023. Any rebellion will be swiftly crushed and labelled IPob rebellion etc, thus taking advantage of ethnic divisions in Nigeria. 4) In the case of any bloody and brutal crushing of any rebellion, it is almost certain that no foreign country or UN will intervene. Most certainly after the Afghanistan debacle, USA will stay clear and probably only issue statement. UN human rights will issue statement but nothing will happen. The mood internationally now is for non intervention because it is now generally believed that interventions do not work. 3 Likes |

I sincerely weep for this nation. Buhari has turned it upside down. Even ordinary ghanaians are now evicting us from their country., and all this is becasue of the hardships Nigerians face in their own country. And this man is busy borrowing more money to sponsor his terrorist brothers. To be frank, Nigerian politicians are just spineless cowards that use social media as the best place they can rant. When they see Bubu they'll all go dumb. How I wish our politicians would do their jobs with courageous audacity and less greed. This nation would have been better than Europe that all the youths are scampering to. iwaeda: 2 Likes |
