You can try this medicine. Although its really expensive and don't know if its available in Nigerian Pharmacy. i had this monster ulcer for years, with all symptoms of heart burn, sensational stomach burn.. luckily enough, i was in abroad.. had an endoscopy test and stool which confirms its the Ulcer and i was placed on this drug called PYLERA for 10 days and after that, had a test again and nothing was there again. and no more burning and stomach problem. but unfortunately, i think the ulcer have touched my chest ribs so bad. cos that am expressing now.. the pains within my chest regions and sternum, a very sharp pain and some cracking sounds within the chest ribs when ever i had slight stretch or deep breath. the pain is 24/7 . i have done all sort test, x-ray, MRI - physiotherapy, ECG, heart functions, high blood pressure and all seems good. so i just have to live with the pains may be for the rest of my life. its really scaring experience for the past 7 years. although, all test shows i have no ulcer.. but seems the aftermath is still in my body. try look for this PYLERA. if its in Nigerian Pharmacy, if not check amazon or ebay and use one of those drop shippers we have in Nairaland, they can assist and if you lucky..they can ship it for you free. 1 Like

Pochipoxhi: Don’t have it anymore sorry. You should see a Doctor as I have discovered that most people don’t have ulcer but something else. See a Doctor to determine what triggers yours and find a solution. My method you quoted above worked for me that period but I’ve discovered alcohol irritates my stomach lining so if you still drink alcohol, I would advice you stay away from it, completely. PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN GOOD, DO NOT UNILATERALLY TAKE ANTIBIOTICS. It is not in your best interest trust me. Good luck. |

bisi16: Thank you for your reply.. I was actually diagnosed of peptic ulcer a month ago .. and at some point I stopped taking my drugs cause it felt like I was getting worse. My major concern is difficulty in breathing and chest pain |
Re: Tips To Curing Ulcers And Living Healthy by bisi16(m): 6:52am On Sep 06, 2021 |
Pochipoxhi:Could be reactions from antibiotics Doc gave you. When you visit a Doc next time, mention Amoebic decentry to him or her. It also has ulcer symptoms but it’s not ulcer. And most doctors would just prescribe antibiotics. |

I was diagnosed of gastritis five days ago, Dr gave me esomeprazole 40mg to be taken once a day. I'm on it for 5: days now but no improvement till now. I have been on a bland diet and watching what I eat. Can I take the unripe plantain therapy in combination with the esomeprazole or its too early for that? I need a reply ASAP because I'm thinking of getting the plantains today. Thanks and God bless anyone that would reply me. Cc. geekybabe cc. bisi16 |

Mrphilia: Sorry for the late response. First of all, what triggered this? Did you eat anything in particular that triggered it? Could be something else. |

bisi16:run from it. something that stops ur body from generating stomach acid that you actually need. Most doctor thinks your body can generate high amount of acid to be causing acidity abi acid reflux, they don't know it's not too much acid but little/low stomach acid |

Mrphilia: Ok.. So you should not be taking your acid suppressants along with natural remedies pls. And always give your body time to respond to a treatment before jumping on others. I wish i could explain the science behind acid suppressants and your diet. Its a lot of things to be mindful of. What are you eating and how often are you eating? Start keeping food diary to know what triggers your pain the most. How late before bed do you eat your last meal? Should be at least 3 hrs b4 you sleep. Do you add excessive garlic and onions to your meals? If so, pls eliminate. Asides from esomeprazole, what other meds do you take? Fyi, esomeprazole 40 mg is ok but it should be taken at least an hr before the first meal of the day for it to be effective. However, esomeprazole can cause palpitations, nervousness, tinnitus and weird side effects. With acid suppressants its a trial and error till you find what works. Most docs will prescribe acid suppressants for 2 to 4 weeks at a go if you are having a bad flare. Gastritis is inflammation of the stomach. Eliminate foods that can possibly cause any kind of stress of inflammation for you while you heal. Take Buscopan for light discomfort during the day. Avoid stress. If you are overweight, try to lose some weight. And pls give your body enough time to heal. Cabbage juice may cause diarrhea or worsen your gastritis if you have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). I'm hardly on nairaland these days but you can dm me on my Instagram handle. @glutenfreeafrican. |

Mrphilia: It could be “amoebic decentry”. I had ulcer years ago, so when the pains came back I just assumed it was the ulcer. At some point, my body developed resistance to antibiotics coz of how frequent the doctors kept prescribing it, yet it didn’t work. I had no choice but to do proper lab test, stool, urine, blood, kidney everything. Cost a lot of money. It was after the test I discovered it was something very ordinary, AMOEBIC DECENTRY. The doc I visited this time placed me on 200mg Flagyl 3 times a day, 7 days. By the 4th day, I was back to 100% but still completed the dose. |
Re: Tips To Curing Ulcers And Living Healthy by bisi16(m): 11:42am On Sep 30, 2021 |
descarado: And antibiotics abuse is very dangerous. We abuse it so much that our body develops resistance to it, so when we eventually need, it won’t have any effect. |
Re: Tips To Curing Ulcers And Living Healthy by geekybabe(f): 10:04pm On Sep 30, 2021 |
omoowhe: Elicorid doesn't work magic for everyone. It all depends on the person's condition and extent of pain. Took it on different occasions many years ago and a few months after the pains were back. Ulcer or gastritis healing is really about proper diagnosis, healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes. Not just swallowing antibiotics randomly on triple therapy meds like Elicorid. Been abroad for over 5 years and not one doc has prescribed this triple therapy or any antibiotics for ulcer. The highest they recommend is a strong acid suppressant like esomeprazole, pantoprazole, or lansoprazole for a month or so. Too many antibiotics is never a good idea. 1 Like |
