Installing a 450kg gate would require better support than when ones is doing a regular light gauge gate.

Reason: Better insulation and sound absorption.

You won’t like it if you see it. It’s the old school roofing sheet.

If you’re able to get a very good installer for step tiles roofing sheet, you’d really love it when it’s installed.
Your roof is as good as the man who installed it. If you’re roofer is good, it’ll come out nice no matter the material used.

If you can manage to raise more funds, Stone-coated tiles is super cool.

For the records, one of the finest estate in Jakande axis of Lagos state (I don’t want to mention name) had longspan roofing sheets on many of their expensive houses.
These are houses whose owner can afford to spend several millions on roofing.

I’m surprised they didn’t pull their roofs after several years of installation.

This are the factors you should consider when starting the project
1, Try by all means to know the average weight of your gate in kg or pounds. this can be done by weighing the gate materials before welding or after welding by industial weighing machine...
2, The weight of the gate will help you select the grade type of automatic controller you need.. (they ranges in D3, D5, D10) the D5 is normally used for home...
3, Uninterupted provision of point light at one side of the gate the controller will be located
4, Keep in mind the Gate will be sliding to one side when opened.. Adequate stopper should be provided in case the gate over runs it set limit
5, Make sure the controller is well embeded in solid concrete to avoid movement in the gear teeth moving the gate..

keep number 4 in th tip of your finger... Automatic gate na still computer program o... and you know computer gadget get mad at times...that is why they reboot sometimes o..... make sure you provide a rigid stopper that can hold the gate any time the controller misbehave o..

the stopper might be install on the angle rail or the wall...

if it is born out of whether you can afford it, i see no reason why you should bother, but if for looking odd, it will but is something people don't really care about, nobody goes around checking rooftops to criticize.

I have always wondered why we don't invest in bigger units of this water heater in our building projects here in Nigeria.

So instead of having this 15ltrs single water heater, we use one big unit for the whole house... (see attached picture)

What might be the reason for this?

I have even checked out house for sale listing online on high end newer houses in lekki, abuja etc and they were all show casing the single units.

Any idea/hypothesis on why this single units are not always used here in Nigeria?

It will be obviously odd, but if thats what you can afford, go for it. Again if your house is next to mine in the same estate " i go dey look you like spoiler".
